You can believe that if you like, but it has never been proven as anything more than one person's "rumor"

What was published in both Dallas and Cinci team coverage via newspaper is the Bungles reportedly offered WR Chris Henry and a middle round pick. Bennett had more value to us than that.

I dunno.

When Babe goes on TV and says that CBS 11 has "confirmed" something, I generally believe that it's more than a rumor.

Nobody ever confirmed anything, again the only thing that was ever PRINTED by the papers that cover the team (FWST, and Cinci paper) was that the Bungles offered a "mid round pick and a starting calibar player", and later it was found out that the "starting claibar player" was WR Chris Henry

That wasn't proved either.

Whatever the case may be, we were offered something substantial for a 6'7" 260 pound pile of shit. Should have taken it.

lol exactly

I wouldn't have spent a 7th rounder on that idiot. Taking him in the 2nd round when we also have Witten was even dumber. I hate Jerry.

Babe was on TV and said that CBS 11 "confirmed".

He didn't say, "we heard".

He said, we "confirmed".

The thing with Bennett wasn't production. It was that he couldn't do anything with the opportunities that he had.

Good riddance to that POS.

And they let Fasano go a few weeks beforehand.
