Yeah, I thought the same thing. Church was barely held if at all by today's standards, and he wasn't making the play anyway.

Besides, I saw Hali being held by Tyron Smith with no call plenty last week. All offenses get to hold now.

Not by any standards. He was bracing for a big hit and the OL didn't connect very well and Church kind of squirted out from under it.

There's absolutely nothing to be called.

Yeah you crow this stuff all the time, but the massive discrepancy in holding calls between us and our opponents suggests otherwise.

Ware and Church were both held. No call. Three plays later we get called for pass interference.

I'm not worried. I know nothing will get done about it.

I dont see either being held on that play

What are the numbers?

The last time I was able to find all the numbers (penalties accepted by type) was 3 years ago. It was almost 3 to 1 in terms of our offensive holding calls vs the other team's. Keep in mind that at that time I went back about 5 years, so some of that time our OL was considered "good" and yet we still had a huge number more than our opponents.

I don't think there's any sort of conspiracy. What would be the end goal? Maybe Jon can put on his foil hat and let us in on what the secret would be for the most popular team in the league to be a perennial loser. If Dallas made a Superbowl it would undoubtedly break TV records and people would be wiping their asses with cash in the NFL.

Here are the year by year penalties per game for each team in the NFCE.

Dallas clearly sticks out like a sore fucking thumb, especially post-Parcells. The penalties have only really gone up since he left.

This last photo is the differential between penalties called on the team versus there opponents. Positive values indicate more penalties called on the team than it's opponents (bad), and negative scores indicate more penalties called the opponents (good).

Just for shits and giggles, here are the Raiders and Falcons. Worst and Best.

Dallas is just a sloppy team.

They have the reputation and back it up almost every fucking week. When you are known for committing penalties and you commit penalties, of course they're going to be called.

People complain about penalties now and Dallas has only been called for 10 thus far. Wait until they start working towards that average and get a few more every week.

Not sure I believe its a "conspiracy" but there is clearly something going on.

DeMarcus Ware almost never draws a holding call, yet he's almost unanimously considered the best pass rusher, or at least one of the top 2 or 3 pass rushers in football. It isn't the borderline junk that gets ignored that bothers me, its the OBVIOUS stuff they ignore that is the issue.

That's a lot of words to say "I don't know."
