Doesn't matter how many they intend to sign. You're spinning to make the situation more palatable.

Common sense tells you that if the Cowboys come to the party with a light wallet, they can't win a bidding war for any single coveted free agent.


We'll see how things work out.

You're assuming that all teams are aggressive in free agency... Which we know is not true.

The pool dwindles more when you look at a specific position, say FS and you eliminate the teams that have no interest in signing a free safety.

Finally there is still desire by some players to play for the Dallas Cowboys.


Oh, almost forgot one thing, there is no state income tax in Texas. That's an inherent advantage for the Cowboys.

If the Cowboys had a ton of cap room, I'd be hearing, "What a cheap effing organization– why do I follow this team?"
