I was just promoted into upper management and given my own location. Two weeks later my VP asks me to meet him for lunch out of nowhere.

So I send my GF a text saying “oh shit, my boss asked me to meet him for lunch in an hour. I hope he’s not going to fire me already”

Then I get a reply saying

“LOL, If I was going to fire you I wouldn’t by buying you lunch first”

Yep, you guessed it, I accidentally sent the text to my VP instead of my GF

Then we met up for lunch and had margaritas and a good laugh about it

Thank god!
