Let the McCarthy era begin

There will be a good-sized roster overhaul, starting with the Defensive line. "Check collectors" will be gone as well. Hopefully there will be personnel upgrades in the secondary. I'd like to see us draft or sign a REAL fullback and USE him, and we could use an upgrade to the TE spot as well. Linebacker is an issue, we have The Gimp and LVE as injury concerns left, since I expect Lee to retire. All in all we lack DEPTH and that's the main reason calling this roster "great" is silliness. It's better than average, only just. This is the first area McCarthy will be looking to improve once he has his staff in place. Hopefully he knows it is far from a pat hand, like Jerruh believes it is.

I really think with good coaching, this team has the potential to compete with the best and push for a SB.

I say 2 years. and we should be in NFCCG and Super Bowls with basically , give or take 4-6 guys, the same roster we have right now.

Nobody said anything about complete rebuilding. There WILL be roster changes, we have no choice in some of them especially in the DL. It's what Jerruh would consider a "reload" not a rebuild, since like the idiot he is, he thinks he has all the hay in the barn when it comes to our roster. We don't, not even close.

Forget the fullback, I’m more worried about having a run game at all. From everything I’m hearing and reading is that MM does not and has not had a focused run game. It’s just not part of his game plan. I believe the last time he had a RB over 1000 yards was in 2014 with Eddy “nom nom” Lacy

Hopefully part of MM’s recent self evaluation since he got fired has caused him to value the run more than he used to. Otherwise we have an extremely expensive and overpaid paperweight with a pension for getting himself into trouble on the team for no reason other than to eat up cap room

As far as the TE spot I want to see what we can get out of Jarwin...I think the kid could be special

Not really. I was listening to the press conference and he gave a political answer and said it wasn't a catch according to the rules at the time but it would be under todays rules.
