Yep, Romo gets pulverized every game. Before this season he got a RTP flag once. FUCKING ONCE.

But no, the refs don't screw us over at all.

What if they changed all the language in the rules to simply state "intent to injure a player will result in a 15 yard flag, and a 1-game suspension"

Meaning you're watching that play and you see basically a guy tackled a guy. Pretend even he got hit in the neck. Still not a flag. Because he was just tackling a guy. However you can flag a guy for a well timed hit that but one that he clearly intended to injure another player. You can tell intent by the way a plAyer would needlessly wind up.

And the silly thing is that as more protections are put into place, offensive coordinators will take advantage of the rules and will push the envelope more .... and at the end of the day, the QBs will continue to have the injuries, because the offensive coordinators will assume that more plays that were previously too risky are suddenly safer and worth the risk due to the rules changes.

Heck, it isn't like offenses are running max protect schemes much anymore. Instead OCs take their chances with empty backfields and use 4 wide-outs.

Where's dbair to bitch about our injury woes? oh wait...

But can you guys only imagine if Romo were to go down? And he's been pretty subpar the past few weeks.

That would be a nightmare.

I actually don't see where losing him right now would be much of a nightmare. He's sucked ass since the Denver game and IMO has really only had two really good games so far this year.
