Sound acquisition. Thought he'd want to go somewhere where he'd have a decent chance to start, but I guess those opportunities were drying up.

Nice deal here. Three years is suprising. I guess he understands he will not be a starter anywhere again in the league....

also funny I saw heath evans saying on nfl network right after they announced it that the cowboys need a guy to command the huddle and the locker room...******.

Like getting him. Nice solid backup. If Romo misses a few games here or there, we wont be crippled with Orton.

wait till the preseason and he is out there with his huge arm throwing bombs....the moron fans of this team are going to go crazy and want him as a starter..

i can see andre holmes and radway catching a few deep balls already in the third qtr of the preseason games.

I like the signing but don't like what it says about McGee.

Yeah, doesnt sound like they have alot of confidence in him taking over the reigns.

But it might just be they want to make sure if something does happen to Romo, that the season isnt completely crippled. Orton has proven he can play and play at a pretty good level. Look at a team like the Bears last year for a prime example.

It's good to know we have 3 QB's that can play.

especially since we seem to think Bill Nagy and Phil Costa can stop people from running over our quarterbacks.

all it says about mcgee is he is not ready yet...

laufenberg has said it repeatedly, he was basically a redshirt in year 1 and a rookie in 10....this will be essentially his third year.....and will tell alot about him.

we just signed a dood for three years. A capable backup who might not be young anymore but he's not going anywhere.

There's no point in wasting a roster spot on McGee. You can either play or you can't, it will show up somewhere. McGee hasn't shown anything.

We might be fielding trade offers for this guy by week 9 if past years are any indication.
