Kiper says Tyron Smith is over rated

Basically Mel doesn't view Tyron Smith as a top 10 talent even though that's where he's slated to go.

Nobody is missing the point. We are going off of an inconsistancy on Mel's Big Board. Now most of us understand that players rise and fall on every teams big board for a varieity of reasons: red flags in regards to injuiries, health, behavior, etc. and simply being bumped down because another player rose.

Last week, Mel had Tyron as a top 10 talent, this week Tyron is at #17 and Mel says he is overrated. So what happened between last week and now with Tyron to where Mel had him as a top 10 talent to now being overrrated?

Teams don't stack value boards like you see on the websites. Their boards are much more refined and tailored to fits in their system.

The Cowboys had a top 15 grade on Sean Lee last year. I'd bet at least half the league didn't have him in their top 30.

I don't know that he can prove it but the fact that Sean Lee was drafted 55th wound indicate we had a much higher grade on him than most teams.

When I saw that pic of our draft board last year I was bothered by our Top 15 grade on Sean Lee and how off we were on most of the Offensive Linemen. The OL thing just confirmed what I had feared for years.

Yes. The entire league decided to ignore a top 30 talent until the bottom of the 2nd round.

Then explain Dez Bryant, and of course you will go to the off field issues. Ok, what about Tyson Alualu? There are 32 teams and thus 32 different boards, just because team passed on a player doesn't mean that they didn't have a 1st round grade on him.

That is not really proof. So what he was picked at #55. Doesn't mean that there were no other teams that didn't have him rated in their top 30 board.

By the way, after Mel claimed Tyron Smith was overrated I saw on ESPN today they had the crawl running with Mel's Big board and he had Smith at #9.
