Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was asked about the losing streak during an interview Friday morning with G-Bag Nation on KRLD-FM 105.3 The Fan.
"I couldn't imagine there being a big-picture reason," Jones said. "Every advantage is yours. You know the field. I'll give you an example. At Texas Stadium...the crown was 18-inches higher out in the middle of the field than in the corners of the end zone. You literally had a drop off of 18 inches. There's always little nuances. Certainly, we're more familiar with our field. We've practiced on it over the years. We should know if there's any sound issues. All of that, we know. ...Then we have the crowd that is certainly biased toward the Cowboys.
"No, there's no reason why we shouldn't win more at home."
More Cowboys' notes from Friday:
*Cowboys cornerback Orlando Scandrick did not practice for the third straight day. He has been bothered by both hamstrings.
*Jones was asked on 105.3 The Fan how running back Ezekiel Elliott is handling the transition to the NFL. Elliott has 134 yards and two touchdowns, but he also has two fumbles (one lost) and is averaging 3.3 yards per carry. Expectations are massive for the rookie.
"He's got a great work ethic," Jones said. "The things he does, his instincts, his ability to make cuts, his speed. But away from the ball how good he his, how he understands the protection game for the quarterback, how he understands being the relief valve as far the passing game - we're able to incorporate right now and are not having to wait a long time for him to do 'em. Believe you me, he is excellent and he is affecting those defenses that play us."
Are there any front office concerns about Elliott, Jones was asked?
"I have no concerns in any place about Zeke," Jones said.
