Dolphins have requested and received permission to interview John Garrett for their OC position.

I knew this was coming. Someone would want one of the Garretts.

Jason ought to employ a bit of nepotism and elevate John as an OC. I always thought he would do that. Maybe the Cowboys could work out a swap: the Dolphins give us Nolan, and we give them Garrett.

We give them John Garrett, then they give us Mike Nolan?

You can look at it as a trade but more of a sign of good will. SF does not want to lose Bowles, if we want we can offer him the DC position and there is not much the 49ers can do to block it. Just say for a second they feel Bowles is ready to take over the defense at the cost of Nolan and get John Garrett in the process? Weirder things have happened.

That seems logical.

Screw Nolan and Bowels. Pasqualoni is the coach for me.

Your joking right?

I'm being serious. You do know that continuity is huge, right? Our D took a step up from under Wade, at least from a playmaking standpoint, and at least the defensive line is really comfortable with him already.

Nolan is about the only guy that would make revamping the D worthwhile and we aren't gonna get him.
