Of course he thinks he's loved by the fans, because, quite frankly, most fans are stupid.
Fans clamor to get their pictures taken with Jerry and then turn around and call into sports talk radio bitching about how we need to cut Romo and sign Tim Tebow or whatever.
Fans are retards.
Not us though. We're all wicked smart.
If you saw Jerry on the street you'd do the same thing.
yep.
never understand why so many want his autograph and his picture taken with them.
I was walking around the perimeter of Texas Stadium in 04 when we played the titans in the preseason. I was there 3 hours early and jerry walked 3 inches in front of me with his driver and slowed down expecting me to ask for his auto, I just kept walking.....
my wife thought I was crazy.
What was I supposed to say, Thanks for quincy carter?

Because unlike Clint Murchison, who most fans would not have been able to pick out of a lineup, Jerry is an outspoken, overexposed celebrity.
That kid in the background looks like either Beavis or Butthead.
No. No I wouldn't.
Not only because I have a great disdain for the guy, but also because I just don't give a shit about celebrities.
Back in the summer of 2009, a buddy of mine was one of the managers of the Hilton on Atlantic Avenue in Virginia Beach. He called me and told me that Emmitt, his wife, and his kids were staying there and that he was up on the pool on the roof. Said if I drove down he'd get me up there - couldn't guarantee I could meet him or anything, but that I could at least get up there and have a chance. Not a lot of people recognized who he was. I worked maybe 15 minutes away, and didn't bother going. And Emmitt was my idol growing up. Loved that guy. My all time favorite Cowboy.

That's OK. Emmitt comes across as an inarticulate idiot on TV.
Sorry Emmitt, but you aren't fooling anyone.
Hey, at least he could play football. I'll give him that.
