I agree, as most do, Garrett isn't going anywhere.

The one year excuse is bullshit, he's been with this team, with this offense for 5 years now.

Jerry is comfortable with Jason. That's why he stays, probably for at least the next 3 years no matter what happens.

I think when you hire a head coach you have to commit to him. Give him enough time to implement his system. I am not a Garrett fan. I do not like him as an offensive coordinator. He was very disappointing this season. I think he did cost the Cowboys a chance at the playoffs with his game management. Nonetheless, he needs to be given time to get it fixed.

No question the 2009 draft was bad, and it is hurting us. But the last two drafts have been better and we've added some good players.

As for guys like Arkin, he was drafted with the future in mind, just like them taking a flier on a guy like Carter (who we'd never have been able to get at that draft spot had it not been for the injury). Nagy wasnt ready either, but he did do some things well (he has great movement skills and plays well in space). Both he and Arkin need time in our weight programs with Woicik. Kowalski looks like a keeper and at the very least looks like a guy who should be a solid backup swing OL (G/C) for us for a few years.

Nagy will never make it as an effective NFL starter. I'll root for him but he just doesn't have it in him. You can book that.

I liked Arkin when I saw the film on him, he seemed strong and mean. I don't like that he couldn't see the field despite 4 injuries at the 2 guard spots.

Just look at his body (and Nagy and Kowalski too) and you can see that none of them is physically strong enough yet to perform at a high level on a week to week basis yet. Arkin looked really good on film because the guys he was dominating were at a very low level of competition. But you see the attitude and technique was there. Kowalski should have ended up playing alot more this year IMO. I think at the very least he bumps Costa off the team next yr and becomes the primary swing OL on game days. Best case is settles into one of the starting interior OL roles.

Yeah, lets focus on the one bad draft from 2009, and not even think about what happened in 2010 or 2011

That's not what I am doing.

We are missing on mid round guys each year that should be helping. The two guards/tackles taken in the last three drafts in the mid rounds should have been out there. The butlers and aoa's of the world should be out there helping in a game like tonight.

The picks of Murray, lee and smith look terrific. But the talent on this team is down because of all this missing.

At some point you ave to be responsible for this type of thing.

Sometimes it takes several seasons before draft picks pan out, especially mid to late round picks. The draft isnt always about what help you get THIS YEAR.

They need a Jj watt type batting gown balls and being active in the front 7.

On the Bradshaw TD they had the prettiest straight across pocket I've ever seen. Theebs might post it it was do embarrassing.

Right, that is the problem.

This was the season the guys from 08'09 and last year needed to step into roles to help.

And we see that those guys are not around. Countless misses in the secondary and on the offensive line.

And now next year we will be asking these same people who caused this problem to fix it.

Seems crazy to me, very much like the campo years.

Parcells stepped in and fired all those guys that caused those terrible seasons and put new people in place and the results were there.

I know Garrett is staying, I just think if the right opportunity came up I would take it.

Ciskowski told Mickey spagnola on special edition this week that they loved the young lineman starting with costa. That pretty much tells you where this is heading.

So I guess I will just hope Garret shakes up the staff and is super aggressive in free agency.

I'm not a complete delusional asshole, but I can't help but feel like at some point over these last 5 years, if I was Jerry, I would've been all "so yea let's draft a linemen pretty early here, that shit makes a team go"

Makes sense, but I think there are people telling him what to do and convincing him things are ok and will be different and he roles with that.

And I think that is a problem. Jerry is the face and takes all the blame, meanwhile the people making the most decisions are never questioned and for the most part unknown to the national media.

Has to be.

All the time we hear they like such and such(besides Brewster, never a peep on him). But that's not good enough. Draft too many linemen. It's ok, you won't regret it.

I dont think anyone is held accountable, just a big clustercluck of people and they're all in it together and if it blows up then just re-sign everything w/ a pulse and point to next year when our Guys will have worked with a strength coach!

I was watching drew Pearson on the channel five post game and drew said he feels sorry for Jerry because he keeps paying everyone in the organization, staff and players top salaries and these same people keep letting him down...

Jerry is a brilliant owner actually. He's also very loyal and very willing to pay people to get the job done. The problem here is that he's also a huge idiot. He chanced upon some oil, and actually has no idea what the hell it takes to run a football organization. He was self aware enough to hire Parcells to build the current team, but Parcells himself even alluded that this team would blow balls a couple years after he left. Jerry just doesn't have the correct people in place, and once he gets them (Sean Payton), he lets them go.

There's no reason that Sean Payton should not have been on the "Garrett HC In Waiting" plan. Stuff like that is just horrible.

Ciskowski has pulled aoa, Jason Williams and countless corners who don't work out.

We needed all those guys to win this type of game tonight.

Wasted picks because as a front office they are just not good enough.

Time will tell if the people who have that ability do the right thing and make wholesale changes.

I remember the circle jerk that ensued at CZ when Ireland left and someone said that the real mastermind in the scouting department was Ciskowski.

How the fuck did anyone on this team sign off on an entire draft of second stringers?

I believe what we are watching right now is the lead-up to a total organizational collapse such as the one we saw before Parcells came in. It won't get as bad but that's only because Dallas has Romo.

People will still be all pissy that Parcells "didn't win a playoff game" but when you see the direction this team has headed since he left, it's fucking scary.

When Parcells left, Dallas started targeting all these fucking workout heros who were fast or strong or had big old man tits like Stanback.

Look at the true leaders on this team, they are nearly ALL FROM PARCELLS ERA. Romo, Ware, Witten, Ratliff.

It's disgusting to see how fucking ass backwards the drafting philosophy has gone since Parcells left.

Stanback
AOA
Jason Williams
Martellus Bennett
Even that idiot fucking kicker Buehler

How are any of these picks different from the shit Al Davis does?

I'm more pissed off right now that Dallas lost last night than I was last night.

Top down, this team has huge issues. From Jerry, all the way down to the guy who's holding roster spot #53 this team has fucking problems.

Yep hoof bite. That is my concern.

The people who caused this are going to be the ones to have to fix it, which clearly they are not capable of doing.

And now we have to replace the whole defense essentially.

And for what it is worth, in the summer of 07 parcells told babe laufenberg once I am gone you will never know I was there...

And that is exactly where we are at today. The cliff is in sight we will find out if they drive right over it like 2000 or if anyone can fix any of this.

Personally I don't think anyone here is capable of fixing it, unless Garrett makes changes to the staff, roster and scouting department.
