Cowboys owner Jerry Jones appeared Tuesday on KRLD-FM. Here are some highlights from the interview:

On putting Stephen McGee in the game now that the playoffs seem unlikely:

No. You don't do that in my opinion. It will be that really. The bottom line is we go with Kitna. We get him ready to play the games. We've got 10 games left. I've been there before and you don't have the luxury of giving up games. It's a tough job developing a quarterback, but you don't give up games. You say, 'Well, Jerry, what do you got to lose?' You just don't do that. There's a lot of collateral aspects to this thing that you got to consider when you start just going in there and working on an "if" situation at quarterback. I've been there and we've done that. And it was not successful.

On the Cowboys becoming the Lions with Jon Kitna and Roy Williams both in the game:

Kitna moves the ball with our practices in some really competitive situations. Kitna has some good arm strength and he knows where to go with the ball. He and Roy do work well together.

On pulling anything positive out of Monday night's game:

I thought at the end that, when it was all said and done, we saw what a play maker and what a player Dez Bryant can be. He's got some things that he needs to work on, but he's unique. He's a real playmaker. The goal is to keep him healthy obviously and we can do some things with him. I like what we can do playmaking-wise with Felix. But part of this game is adjusting when you lose your quarterback. And we're going to get the opportunity to see how we do there, relatively speaking. We pay Kitna a lot of money to come in here and win some ball games. Let's see how it goes.

I agree with Jerry on this one. Especially when we're technically not mathmatically eliminated from the playoffs.

Will we get in the playoffs? Hell no. But stranger things have happened.

You don't throw an unprepared, raw QB in there at this point and essentially wave the white flag for the rest of the year.

I would wait until the end of the season, possibly in the second half of a game. Maybe, the last game or second to last game of the season, start, see what he can do. Don't limit him with checkdown passes and handing the ball off. See if he can play.

I really hate how the decision is left up to Jerry. It should be the coach's decision, not some stupid fucktard like Jerry Jones.

If we get to the point where we are like 4-8 or 3-9, then you let McGee finish the season. But right now is too soon to let the rest of the team feel like you are mailing it in.

I'm too lazy to find a thread to squeeze this tidbit in so I'll do it here.

I'm not going to mention the assholes name, or the board, but I read last night that Jerry doesnt do anything but market the team and make money. He's only the GM by title only, he's not a GM in the same way that other GMs are. He has others that make those moves.

This was not stated as opinion, but as fact.

Thoughts?

That might explain the improvement in our personnel selection.
