This is the dumbest post you've had all day...and that is saying a lot.

lol

First of all.. i couldn't care less what you think is and isn't dumb.

Secondly, you don't think McGee knows this offense after 3 years of working in it? Really?

If he doesn't he probably isn't smart enough to do anything other than work at McDonalds for a living.

Everyone's getting up in arms over nothing. McNabb has as much chance of being on the Cowboys roster as I do.

Is that such a bad thing? He didn't want to be somewhere he wasn't going to play? Im pretty sure that's normal.

It is a bad thing, yes.

For years we've been spoon fed what a good leader McNabb is, and how he does things the right way.

But he can't get over his own ego and realize that the third team in less than a year realized he just didn't have it anymore. He still has this ego like he deserves to be a starter.

His past two teams have complained about his work ethic and his cardio-vascular endurance. Two teams that went out and sought McNabb, traded for him, and handed him a starting job quit on him in short order.

Well... the Vikings benched him and instead of wanting to continue to mentor a young QB in Ponder, he says "Fuck it. I deserve better. I'm out."

What the fuck is that all about?

I mean, lets just ignore the fact that all it takes is one hit to Ponder and McNabb could be needed.

McNabb selfishly see's two teams, Houston & Chicago (he's from Chicago) who are in playoff contention, and who have horrid QB situations, and he has total disregard for the team that he was on.

Fuck McNabb. He's a piece of shit. He always has been. He's a fraud. That whole "doing things the right way" was always just an act. He has always been passive aggressive, and used his agent to do his dirty work, all the while faigning innoncence and playing the golly shucks good guy to the media.

How many times did the Eagles have to make "financial apologies" to McNabb after he felt slighted? I can recall at least twice. Including one in Washington as well. Hell.... google "financial apology" and the 2nd selection that comes up is "McNabb financial apology" lol

I'm sorry, I know you're a McNabb mark, RTH... You were the guy scoffing at the notion he was washed up.

There isn't an NFL player I've despised more than McNabb, and it has nothing to do with the success he had against bad Cowboys teams early in his career. I've always thought he was a media-propped fraud who benefited greatly be being coached by Andy Reid when the NFC East and really, the NFC was mediocre for the vast majority of his career. Those Jim Johnson defenses get the credit for the Eagles success IMO. Not McNabb.

I mean, think about it... in the Super Bowl, with 7 minutes remaining and the game still within reach, the guy is so tired he can't even call plays in the huddle. The guy literally choked the game away. Yet you never hear anyone talk about that.

But Romo fumbles a snap on a field goal and it's all anyone ever talks about?

Laughable.

Fuck McNabb.

I guess I really ranted there a little.

I just hate McNabb and his fake persona with a passion.

I mean, there's players I dislike (Eli Manning, Justin Tuck, Brandon Jacobs, etc)... but nothing compares with my disdain for McNabb.

I understand your hate for the guy.. but from everything reported, when he was first benched he didn't have a problem at all trying to mentor Ponder and help the guy out. If they didn't want to release him, they didn't have to.

I thought he had something left, based on his last year with the Eagles when he was a Pro Bowler. I was wrong, and admitted as much. Nothing "mark" about that.. i just respect what the guy has done over his career with not much talent at the WR position available to him. As a person.. i don't know enough about the guy to judge him, but from everyone i know who has met him or spoke with him they say he is a great guy.

Just wants to play.. and thinks he can still do it. I can't blame him for that, as anyone of us would most likely feel the same way in that situation.

He's washed up, dude. Teams are desperate for a QB right now and nobody wants to touch McNabb with a ten foot pole. He wasn't even the Vikings first choice. They settled on him back in July. It's over for him.

He's been working with the same offense for 3 years. He knows the offense. If they go out and get somebody else, that won't be the reason why. It'll be because they don't trust that he could come in and do a good job. He's had 3 years and the time he has gotten in he's done pretty well. I would like to see him given the first chance at playing time if Tony goes down, but i guess we'll see if the coaches trust him yet.

I like McGee and i think he has improved. Is he ready to play against the Niner front 7 in a playoff game? I don’t know. Hopefully Romo stays healthy and we don’t have to find out.

They were talking about how he wasnt putting time in the filmroom, wasnt really helpful with the young QB;'s and was apparently out of shape (again)

Maybe. I just think that if McNabb could come in and spoil the locker room and morale in it then it was not very good to begin with.

I doubt a team wanted to pick up the rest of his salary...now just the prorated vet min for whoever signs him. I do think he will sign with someone.

Pretty sure Orton's remaining salary was alot higher than McNabb's was (McNabb's remainder was about 1.5 I believe) and 3 teams claimed Orton. Nobody claimed McNabb.

The point is I dont think his remaining salary (which really wasnt much) was a deciding factor in why he wasnt claimed. There's several teams in the playoff hunt who need QB's badly, and they didnt claim him.

Sure...if you can save over a million dollars you do it. Orton was claimed by KC to be a starter, Chicago to be a starter, and by us to block him from Chicago. No one had ideas of bringing in McNabb as a starter. Huge difference.

Carphalen is right according to what I just saw on NFL Network.

It's all speculation and reasoning now IMO. People are just trying to gun for excuses for why he wasn't claimed. There are two legit contenders right now with bigtime starting QB issues, and two (Cowboys included) with backup QB issues. The fact that nobody was willing to claim him speaks volumes to me when added to how he was canned from DC and Minny.

Hell...Minny is the only team that even wanted him in the offseason to begin with. It's clear that these teams would rather develop young talent and see what they have rather than bring McNabb in.
