Dallas Cowboys coach Jason Garrett on Monday said he will talk to Dez Bryant about leaving the field before the clock ran out Sunday but is confident the young receiver will learn from "the situation."

Bryant left the sideline of Sunday's game with 1:21 left on the clock as the Green Bay Packers were running out the clock after completing an epic 37-36 victory, rallying from a 26-3 halftime deficit.

"We'll address that with Dez today," Garrett said in his radio interview with 105.3 The Fan Dallas-Fort Worth. "I understand why to a certain extent, they're kneeling the ball, the game essentially is over, he's an emotional guy, we're all very emotional about what we do.

"But he needs to stay out on the field and I'll address that with him today. And just explain why it's important to do that and he'll understand," the coach said.

Garrett described Bryant, who is tentatively scheduled to be a guest on ESPN's "NFL Live" on Monday (4:30 p.m. ET), as "one of the great team guys I've ever been around."

"He loves his teammates, he loves this team, has a great passion for winning. You have to understand how to handle yourself in those situations. He'll learn from this situation," he said.

Following a second interception thrown by quarterback Tony Romo with 1:22 to play, Bryant walked off the field after a review of the play confirmed the interception by Packers cornerback Tramon Williams, sealing Green Bay's victory.

"I'm hurt, man," Bryant whispered at his locker after the game, declining further comment. He tweeted later Sunday explaining why he left the field before time ran out.

:lol

Dez: Hi Coach, let me introduce you to Demarco. He's averaginig about 7 YPC and is a great weapon for running out the clock and protecting the lead. You should concern yourself more with his place on the field than mine after you tore another win from our mouths.

I totally get why Dez left the field. He was ultra pissed, not with the players, but with the organization which continually allows shit like this to happen. The coaches (and owner) have proven to the players that they have no fucking clue what they are doing.

That said, he shouldnt have left the field.

He left because apparently he didn't want anybody seeing him crying.

Shit, he should've just grabbed the gaterade bucket and smashed it over Garrett's head.

This is the least of our worries. He's one of 3 or 4 players who aren't here to collect a check and go home.

1) Dez 2) Tyron Smith 3) Frederick 4) Leary 5) Murray 6) Dwayne Harris 7) Dan Bailey

See, there's more than 3 or 4

He should be suspended, but he won't. Unless there was a death in the family, there's no reason to leave the bench. You were sad and wanted to hide your tears? Fuck you. Everyone was devastated on that sideline, but they stayed put. A stern talking to by Garrett isn't enough. It would only reinforce the notion that players can do anything they want without real consequences.

Put 46 people in a rapidly sinking boat and some people will misbehave.

Still, the sinking-thing is a bigger problem than the misbehavior.

OIC. He has to play because because he's too important and we have a big game next week. Wonderful example to set. Integrity? What's that?
