Hence why people like Dez and T.O. were kicked out and then ripped to shreds by the Jones' in the media. Pathetic and sad.

They were ripped to shreds because they were team cancers, especially Owens.

Dez was absolutely the classic "got paid, then quit" player.

Didn't they each lead the league in drops toward the end as well?

They were considered "cancers" because they weren't Garrett guys. Both of them have stated this publicly.

Also, Dez never quit. Watch the All or Nothing episode where Dez had to lecture Derek Dooley in the WR room, because Dooley was incompetent. Or the various times on the sideline where Dez tried to get the team going, only to be ignored because nobody on the Cowboys roster actually cares.

Now, because Dez got paid it has now become clear that he has little interest in returning to football, which is ultimately his prerogative.

They were cancers because they were me-first guys that wrecked the lockerroom, not because they werent Garrett guys.

Gee I dunno, maybe you had heard but Owens wrecked lockerrooms everywhere he went during his career? Pretty sure the rest of the world got that.

Dez didn't apply himself the way he should have. If he would have dedicated himself to learning all the nuances of playing WR he could have been a HoF type talent, but he didn't. he was a mediocre route runner his entire career.

Yep. In Owens case he always dropped a lot of passes and was pretty much year in and year out among the league leaders.

In Dez's case it happened after he got paid. He was incredibly sure handed his first few years in the league.

T.O. caused problems in other places that is true. What is also true is that T.O. also said is that Garrett leaked bad stuff about him in the media to make him look bad. Being that Garrett is a tool who thinks he is the best coach ever and has a great locker room culture (featuring guys like Snake Lee) I believe T.O.

As for Dez, route running was NEVER EVER his game. Why? Because he what they call an X receiver. X receivers jobs are to catch 50-50 balls. Go up and get the football. Romo may not have been great, but he understood that dynamic.

Because Dak lacks the arm strength and accuracy to throw 50-50 balls Dez's stats went down. It is actually why I don't like Dak and think he should be replaced at QB. At some point you need a guy who can throw into a tight window and make a play.

Yeah, um whatever.

Nobody needed to leak bad shit about TO, it was out there for all to see. Everywhere he went he was hated by coaches and teammates. They all knew he was a piece of shit.

Dez was a shitty route runner because he got by on physical talent alone for as long as he could. he never mastered route running and rejected the help of others (including guys like Irvin, who publicly told him numerous times he needed to sharpen his route running, Aikman also called him out for being shitty at it). It had nothing to do with being an X or Z receiver, it had to do with putting in the time to master the craft of route running. He saw no value in it.

Dez's stats went down because he began to suck and sulk, no other reason. had nothing to do with 50/50 throws.

Look at his stats with Romo and then Dak. That is the difference.

Because it was a fucktard post, that's why.

TO was a massive cancer. Dez turned into a cancer and ultimately underachieved after signing a mega contract deal. Everybody knew it. Except apparently you clowns.

The benefit of the fact contract Dez got was he never has to play football again if he doesn't want to/and or if no one is interested. Judging by his tweets he seems pretty happy with life and good for him. I just wish he would start a podcast or something, cause he is quite the character.

This sounds like a man crush. Look I love Dez, but let's not pretend he did anything after that contract was signed to indicate that he was gonna actually put the work in to earn it and I doubt that he made enough off that contract to be so pleased with himself and in control of his finances that he didn't try to get back to playing football again. Truth is he relied heavily on his athleticism and once that started fading his inability to do anything else was shown up glaringly so.

I'm in no way endorsing players going after teammates, but Sean is a student of the game, something that had Dez been more of, he'd still be playing and earning. Sean isn't perfect, his body lets him down over and over and always has, but don't pretend that Dez ever had the knowledge of the game that Sean has and if he'd been just a bit more interested in the ins and out of the game he could have been one of the best wideouts this team or the NFL had ever seen. He certainly has the build for longevity, just not the mind to carry him forward as his body broke down. It's not so much a dig on Dez as an admission of his limitations. Sean's is that his body lets him down. Dez is that his mind let him down about the time it really could have saved his career.

Dez said Snake Lee went behind his back and complained to management. When asked about it, Snake Lee gave a non-answer answer. The circumstantial evidence leads me to believe that Snake Lee is a snake.

Dez is a fucktard dude, Lee is not.

"Dez said"....all that needs to be considered there.

Lee is a snake who has helped maintain "Garrett's guys" apathetic culture that has kept the Cowboys down the last decade. Dez tried to fight that culture (as seen in All or Nothing), which is why he isn't on the Cowboys anymore and I'm still bitter about that.

It is one thing to get rid of someone because they are fighting your winning culture (Michael Bennett almost everywhere he has been), but when you get rid of someone because they are fighting your losing culture and rewarding people who maintain that losing culture, that is sickening.

Oh, and if you are stupid enough to buy the "They got rid of Dez because is a has been, not cause he was fighting their culture" then you are one of the Class A suckers that Jerry makes his billions off of.

Dude, Sean Lee was one of the most respected players at Penn State and here in the NFL.

They got rid of Dez for a variety of reasons. One was he was flat out sucking when you factor in what he was getting paid. His last year here was a disaster on the field and he almost single handedly lost a key game late in the yr to Seattle, he further compounded the problem by being extremely disruptive on the sideline and the locker room. Numerous people commented that he simply didnt work hard enough at all the "little things" like sharpening his route running skills (even Michael Irvin said this, and Irvin was one of Dez's strongest supporters). Troy Aikman commented on his lackluster route running numerous times.

And they got rid of him despite the protests of the owner, drunken GM. He was perhaps Dez's biggest fan, but even he had to relent when everyone else put the obvious in front of him.

Quit making excuses for a ******.

"he further compounded the problem by being extremely disruptive" yeah cause he was disrupting Garrett's culture. The fact that you made that statement unironically is also hilarious.

You just totally ignored his post, and then quoted him completely out of context to use it as a straw argument. That's what trolls do.

He's 100 percent right, you're ridiculously wrong, he has facts and you have cult of personality worship syndrome.

Dez was a one-trick pony, didn't bother working trying to improve his game, ignored all requests to do so, and when time caught up with him his one trick didn't work anymore.

And like I originally said, we should have let him shop himself around before marrying him with that huge contract.

I'd call you a dick but you're not real, so from now on you're "dildo."

OK you're right, it's much more likely that Sean Lee got Jerry Jones' favorite player on the roster whacked. It had nothing to do with underperforming after getting a mega deal, the drops, bad routes, sideline tantrums, twitter rants, locker room complaining etc etc

:rolleyes1:
