Is Martellus Bennett ready to break out?

You're tired of the hype on Bennett, so in response you hype up Phillips? Brilliant. Expalin how he hasn't done shit as a pass catcher, when he's been about 5th or 6th in the passing option? He had players like T.O., Roy, Crayton and Witten ahead of him in 2009, and then in 2010, he had Austin, Bryant, Roy, and Witten still. How many looks do you think he's going to get? If Phillips was in the same situation, he wouldn't fare any better.

I guarantee you 32 NFL GMs would take Bennett over Phillips, even if he didn't have the two bad legs.

You keep saying he's more "dependable", but not surprisingly do not elaborate. And where's your rpoof he led the team in drops?

He's talented no doubt, but he needs to step up and prove he belongs here. I really hope Phillips stays healthy so he can continue to push Bennett. One of these two tight ends needs to prove their worthy.

Uhm... Phillips has a grand total of 7 receptions in his career. That is an extremely small sample size to be trying to sell him as better than anyone else. We have three quality TEs, we need all three performing well if we want to make any noise this season.

Actually his numbers last year are comparable to his rookie numbers sans the TDs of course. He had a drop in production in his second year (sophmore slump maybe?), but other than that, he's been steady.

Bennett is a better blocker. In fact, that was one of Bennett's main attributes when he was drafted because they didn't pass much at Texas A&M when he was playing, so he was able to hone his blocking. So you're saying that Phillips NEVER dropped a pass? And if so, then ROmo only looked his way 7 times.

He has a LIFE outside of football. Same crap people say about Romo and his golfing. On his OWN time, he makes 3 minutes stupid youtube clips that only he thinks are funny, so thus he's not focused on football?

Romo shouldn't of had that big wedding and then had videos of it, becuase clearly he wasn't focused on football.
