Read and contemplate.

It is Randall Morris in the photo. He wore #34 his rookie year (1984) during preseason, before the Seahawks signed Franco Harris, who took #34 and Morris changed to #43.

Check out the link to the play-by-play and boxscore from the Seahawks/49ers '84 preseason game. Morris is listed as #34. Also notice the Seattle drive beginning at 4:14 remaining in the 4th quarter - Morris ran around right end for 37-yards before Fuller pushed him out.

So sideline personnel were wearing jackets at a night game in August. Must be colder in Frisco than I thought.

It was also very lucky that the boxscores and play-by-plays for those Seahawks preseason games have been made available to view online. You can't find similar info on other teams preseason games from that era, including the Cowboys.

It can get down right chilly here in CA in August

We are talking about all the way down to the upper 60’s that time of year

That photo would have been taken late in the 4th quarter. So we're talking after 9pm. Does the temperature in Frisco plummet quite rapidly after sunset, even in late August?

It can

But again, it’s August and might have dropped into the 60’s. That’s still shorts weather for a lot of ppl. On a really cold day (by California standards) it might drop to the high 50’s. But that’s rare and typically wouldn’t be seen until the early morning hours before sunrise

Late games here usually start at 5:30pm at the latest which means a game would be over by 8:30pm to 9pm at the latest.
