Drafting a quarterback who was benched in his senior year was a flawed theory from the get go. Yes, he was injured, but when he came back and was healthy he sucked and lost his job to sophomore Jerrod Johnson.
The biggest problem is Jerry wanting to outsmart everyone IMO and he gets cute on draft day. He doesn't just want to add players to the roster who can help. He wants to find guys no one else is talking about so people will be in awe of him.
I agree 100%. But in saying that, how could you be an advocate in taking at QB mid-rounds and developing them?
