I think the team desperately needs speed at the WR position. If the next QB gets an older Dez, Beasley and Harris, there may be a need to rebuild parts of the WR corps.
Nathan Slaughter. 4.2 in the 40 at his school's Pro day. UDFA outta West Texas A&M. Sitting on Jacksonville's practice squad.

Was thinking to sign Jacoby Ford at least for this year. The svelte speed and distance scheme does not fit the lumbering herd legs Dallas has. Unless they change to more short passes to have more plays like Dunbar, Murray, and Beasley had, Romo is going to have to make magic every week and probably end up hurt. 3rd and 20 and no one was open. Some play. :brick

Improvised plays are going to happen, they happen to every team. Some work, some don't.

And the deal is, on that 3rd and 20 someone might have well been open - but Tony was in no position to see it since he was dodging a 300lb tank. So there's that.

I totally understand that. But what you have in Vaughan is a guy who cut his teeth in Air Coryell and Air Raid, who doesn't need nearly the development Romo needed.

From reading your posts, there is some serious 'man love affair' going on with you and this Vaughn.

I do hope you are right though. Time will tell.

I don't see the need for a Ford type player. We have had plenty of success down the field and I don't think they would be anymore then the 4/5 WR making them like the 6/7th option.

We have the highest 3rd and 10+ yards conversion % in the league. 8-18

Agree with omegasumpreme. Need speed at wideout. Dez and Witten are being blanketed by one guy. TY Hilton lit Joseph up because of speed. Lewis , Joseph, and Maxwell seemed to be with him every step.

Next- 1 more year with Romo???? Why??? I say at least 2 if not 3.

Finally, still not understanding the Garrett hate

If you had spent the last three years watching him near the top of or leading the NCAA in passing, (All divisions) and seen the things he can do that are astounding, AND if he also happened to be from your Alma Mater, you might be high on him too.

I think it's just his age - same age Drew Bledsoe was when he last took a snap - combined with the back issue that makes people think we might be seeing the last of Tony pretty soon.

Personally I hope he stays healthy, I like this Tony better than the old one.
