But it does cost too much.

And more importantly, it rarely ever works.

See Redskins various years.

See Eagles last year.

How many times does the off season champion experience incredible success during the regular season?

Rarely does it happen.

In all the years of free agency, how many big money contracts were doled out?

Thousands.

How many were major difference makers? 10? 20?

Reggie White. Drew Brees. Deion Sanders.

Uh....

The best teams in the league for the past 10 years or so - Packers, Patriots, Eagles (minus last off season), Steelers, Giants - are never the ones singing big names the first few days of free agency.

There's a reason for it.

I think that’s too black and white. Imagine if the Cowboys were able to get Nnamdi last year. Think he could have helped the Boys win one more game? That alone would have changed the Super Bowl outcome. Of course you can’t just sign every big name hoping that will make a championship team. That’s where it fails. But don’t limit yourself to just cheap players either. You may have to pay a price for a position you need to fill.

I think you really need people that can locate those pieces that fit into your scheme and philosophy. You also need an owner that listens to them and doesn’t try to make headlines doing what he thinks needs to be done.

Fans should realize that NFL teams that win in March rarely play in January.

thats true of the teams that dont have a good core and try to build a core with free agents like washington.

it does not apply to the patriots or the giants. They used free agency right to multiple championships.

indy and pittsburgh have different philosophies and green bay had in house guys, but the giants, pats, saints, bears etc...that have won championships or played for them have used free agency extensively.

Question about App's. I have an Iphone and I just downloaded the ESPN Dallas radio one. To actually listen to it, it wants to charge me 99 cents. is that 99 cents each time, a monthly fee, onetime fee. etc?

Don't pay for it bro.

Download Tunein radio or something like it for free. Listen to whatever you want. Like I said I'm listening to the Ticket right now, basically they just rebroadcast the internet stream.

Unless you can't do that on the Iphone.

In which case my guess is it's a one time fee.

Dont bother with the ticket guys.

Its bob and dan and they wont really get into it. And the hardline wont even acknowledge free agency unless we sign mario williams....mike ryhner hates the cowboys...

listen to shitty espn 1033, nate is on at two and then galloway and his collection of retards at 3.
