Pretty pissed. I fail to see this special player that people apparently see in Eifert, much less for Dallas who already has Witten.

It would be about as dumb as trading up for a QB. If anything else, we should feign interest to tempt someone to jump over Chicago and New York.

Even if he's the best player on their board and they don't want to trade down?

I went to bed last night and I couldn't shake a thought....

We've been trying to get a receiver lately. Last year, we put in a bid for Josh Gordon in the Supplemental Draft, but Cleveland beat us out. Prior to this past season, we put in a bid for Desmond Briscoe when Tampa Bay cut him, but the Redskins were awarded him due to a higher waiver claim.

I want to say there was another instance where we showed interest or tried to acquire a receiver recently, as well.

Then, a few weeks or maybe a month or so ago, it was reported that DeAndre Hopkins visited. Mike Fisher tweeted a picture of DeAndre Hopkins image on the huge Texas Stadium monitor.

Could this guy be a legit possibility for us at 18?

Supposedly, when Romo signed he was assured the Offensive Line would be addressed. So far, nothing.

I don't want to re hash this, but this is the most ridiculous comment ever.

There have been no assurances to Romo that the offensive line will be fixed

I think Hopkins is a bit of a reach at 18. I wouldn't mind drafting him but not with our first pick. My only bitch with Hopkins is he's only 6-1. I'd prefer a taller WR.

Exactly right

I think WR is a real possibility but in 2. I've been talking about that. They brought in a lot of receivers in that late 1-2 range

Either in 2 or maybe late 1/early 2 in a trade down

I'm sorry...but if you give me a combination of Warmack/Cooper in the first, and Justin Hunter in the 2nd, and I'm back to being Homer McFanboy propping Jerry up as a GM, guaranteeing Super Bowls, and jumping motorcycles over cop cars.

I think Hopkins was one of 3 highly rated WR's who visited. Terrance Williams and Josh Boyce were the other two who came in on the national prospect days.

Boraddus says they like Justin Hunter too and two of the Cowboy writers now have us taking him in the 2nd rd (although I don't think Hunter makes it to our pick). Obviously we have plenty of info on him with Dooley here.

I don't think we'd take a WR at 18, but if they moved down far enough I wouldn't be totally surprised. Definitely wont be surprised if they use a 2nd on a WR. I think Miles Austin's time is almost up here.

I saw something last night that said Hunter might be the 2nd WR off the board now, which means there's a good chance he sneaks into the first round.

I'd be happy with Justin Hunter at some point. Good size, speed, and he's 6-4. A lot of these WR's are short in this draft though.

Someone who's only 5-9 or 6-0 doesn't do it for me.

I just don't see how Cooper or Warmack fall to us at 18

Titans and Jets real possibilities for either guy.

The Jet trade hurt our chances at one of them

As well he should. He's that good.

But man.... if he fell to 47.... boy oh boy..... Hunter on one side, Bryant on the other, Miles in the slot. I just came.

Just saw this from Evan Silva

There's been so much smoke on the Hopkins-St. Louis front since the weekend that it's become impossible to ignore. Plugged-in Yahoo reporter Jason Cole reported Sunday that the Rams would decide between Tavon Austin and Hopkins at the 16th pick. (Austin won't be there.) On Monday evening, the Rams sent multiple assistants to Clemson to put Hopkins through a private workout. A Roddy White-type receiver, Hopkins is a pro-ready route runner with impressive pass-plucking ability in traffic. GM Les Snead has devoted this offseason to helping Sam Bradford.

I think Warmack is gone in the top10. Cooper could be gone by 16. I can see Cooper slipping to us possibly. If Warmack, Cooper, Richardson are gone then we should draft Fluker or trade out of 18 and get more picks.

I wouldn't be upset if we drafted Syl. Williams at 18 either.

I think its the other way around. I think Cooper goes before Warmack
