We are just doing what we have to.

Because of such poor drafting by this front office since ciskowski took over we had to pay alot for a corner and had to spend on interior lineman yet again.

It's a bad trend. We still need another corner, tight end, wr, center and a punter.

We need to sign Connor, another tight end and a center hopefully.

We can't keep missing on the same positions in the draft.

So for me its a c, I am tired of applauding this front office for a lack of accomplishments. So I am not going to cheer when they have to spend money to fix their own mistakes, meanwhile causing us to still have major issues to deal with.

If we didn't miss so often on secondary and offensive lie players we might have landed Mario Williams or one of the premium guards this week.

I like the vickers and carr deals though and love the idea of Connor.

Someone on CZ said that Conner is done according to some news guy I haven't heard of.

I agree with Theebs. We're cleaning up our own shit stains right now. That's not getting worse, but it's definitely not much progress.

We addressed some needs. The Carr signing was huge, but it shouldn't have got to the point where Newman had to break completely down before someone realized the situation. We still need 4-5 starting positions fixed and it sounds like Pool and Bernadeau are their solution to a couple of those spots?

Also, if Spencer is their grand solution to the lack of pass rush, then Vick, RGIII, and Eli all need to send Jerrah a fruit basket and a blowjob cuz they're not even going to have wash their jersey after they play us. The pass rush is nonexistent. You can have the best secondary in the world, but someone will eventually get open if the QB has enough time.

Kellen Davis is pretty weak to be getting upset about not signing.

Very solid # 2 guy who can start if needed. I'm not upset we didn't sign him but would have liked it a lot if we did get him. I don't want to go out and reach for a Coby Fleener, Orson Charles, or Dwayne Allen now because of it.

Agree. Kellen Davis is a beast #2. I've seen him live a few times. Has all the qualities you'd want in that position.

Chicago is quietly building a winner.

All rated as top of the 2nd round talents.

This is a pretty weak TE draft.

Who the fuck cares?

The #2 in Dallas shouldn't be expected to be some world beater.

The #2 anywhere shouldn't be.

The only reason New England does it is because they have 1 WR who's good and a bunch of fucking old guys on the decline to complement a midget RB they use at WR sometimes.

just a personal thing with me, I like physical teams, I think you can be better with two good tight ends.....I dont neccessarily even want the big physical type. I like jacob tamme who is small but can run and catch....a hard working smart quiet team first player....

I know we wont have interest in him but I like him. I think he is going to be productive.

I will also add I think we need another veteran offensive tackle. It would be a shame to draft decastro and have everything sorted out...hopefully center is.....anyway to have it all rolling and then have a tackle get hurt and jeremy parnell has to block pierre paul the final week when the league sends us to ny or philly again....

and we have much bigger needs in the 2nd round than back-up TE. Witten is still Witten and Phillips is serviceable.

that is the way I feel, I dont want to draft one this year unless we use that second 4th rounder from the compensatory picks or something...even then i dont want them to....and I usually do...

we need players up front from this draft.....

go get a veteran tight end......it just eliminates a question mark and its just money, not a vital draft pick.

Hello, John Phillips??

Yes I think phillips will be the 2, but I think you need 3 because of special teams and injuries throughout the season...

plus phillips and a guy like tamme can be an F-back here...I mean i would take jacob tamme over shaun chappas....

i have a bad feeling we end up with like 7 wr and 3 of them are just out to lunch because they are so young and have two tight ends and 1 fullback.

I like Phillips, but I dont know if he is a legit #2. He might be all he's ever gonna be right now. A 3rd TE/H Back type player. He has great hands, but he isnt really fast enough to stretch the seams and he isnt a very good blocker.

Witten's a huge part of the offense. Everyone assumes he'll "keep being Witten" but he's been in the league since 2003. To me, it did look like he was slowing down a tad at the end of last year. If something were to happen to him (hurt, or big drop off in play) it would probably have a pretty significant impact on the offense.

I would have loved to seen us land Davis, and I'd definitely kick the tires on Boss. If that doesnt work out, I think they definitely have to look into the draft. And to me there's really only 3 or 4 guys worth drafting, and 3 of those are guys who will probably be 2nd rd picks.

Beyond that, they'd pretty much have to wait until final cutdowns in preseason to latch onto somebody, and thats not a given.
