Gosselin: I'm not sure (Jason Garrett) is regarded across the NFL as a great hire

We've never had a great OL, but they've never really been this terrible until this season.

Since he got here, we went down in points scored every season up until this one. Just didn't really do it for me, especially with the talent we have on offense here.

We've been through this at the other place. Its amazing to me how people discount what solid practice, meetings and game planning mean to successful teams. All these things were a great weakness of the guy who ran the team. Wade ran the practices, Wade ran the meetings. Wade ran putting the game plans together.

Eh, to be honest Garrett's time as an OC really wasn't that impressive to me. I do believe though that certain guys just make better coaches than coordinators, and i think Garrett is definately one of those guys.

He was the OC the last 8 games, and the results were fairly remarkable considering he didnt have his pro bowl QB for a single snap, was handcuffed by a fairly medicore OL and then lost arguably the teams most explosive player (Dez) for the last 4-5 games)

Why the difference? He knows how to prepare a TEAM. He knows how valuable good practices are.

There's going to be question marks for any that would have ended up as the HC. And since Harbauigh is much like Garrett according to you, wouldn't there still be a bunch of question marks, so what would have been the purpose of interviewing him?

To get as many different perspectives as possible. Its just common sense, if you're making any kind of big decision, you explore as many routes as possible to make sure that you're doing what's best, based on all the information that is available. You don't want to leave a stone unturned.

And he didnt run the practices or prepare them his way either, did he?
