— The move to trade back into the seventh round to draft Swaim was a logical one. Without DeMarco Murray, the Cowboys are going to need better blocking from the tight end position in the run game. Too much was asked of Jason Witten last season to be both the primary blocker and receiver at the position. He's 33 this season and the Cowboys need to be smarter in how they deploy him. James Hanna and Gavin Escobar are primarily receivers. Thus, there's a role in the offense for the 250-pound Swaim that's his for the taking.
