I like the idea that the playoffs are a goal itself.

However you can talk me into 7 playoff teams per conference.

1 bye for top seed
WC weekend 3 games Saturday and sunday at 12:00, 4:00, 8:00
Next weekend let 1 game stand alone Saturday night and play 3 on Sunday

And in the regular season 2 bye weeks per team
Also no made-up arbitrary cap penalties
