You guys are fucking idiots. Once the ball crosses the goal line in that situation, it's a touchdown

Again there's a difference between running the ball across the GL and someone forcing a fumble after it crosses the plane, and someone "completing a catch"

You can't force a fumble after the ball crosses the goal line. What the fuck are you talking about?

The CJ catch was IN the end zone.

Cruz caught the ball then extended the ball over the goal line..it's a tD right then and there, play over.

Plus, the CJ rule has also been changed anyways. Retards.

Yep, agree with this.

And on the crooked ref theory... Is there a reason they're never crooked on our side?

I think what's really happening is that the league has virtually outlawed holding. Our guys hold, too. OL all around the league hold. The league doesn't want holding because the league wants more scoring. Sucks playing defense in this day but it's what the powers that be want for whatever stupid reason.

Cruz made the catch, made no "football move" and then lost control of the ball as soon as he hit the ground.

I'd like to see a replay of it.

And I wasn't aware they changed the Calvin Johnson rule.

That's what I'm telling you, there's a difference between "ball crossing plane" (ie, like a fumble play would be) and "completing a catch"

so why did our guys get flagged for 3 or 4 holds and them only 1?

and why over the past 10 years has there been such a massive disparity?

Fail?

Go and find me ONE play in the HISTORY of the NFL where a runner extended the ball over the GL-lost control AFTER the ball crossed and was CORRECTLY ruled a fumble

I'm not saying it should have been ruled a fumble dude

They replayed the Martellus Bennett TD yesterday for the exact same thing and upheld it because they said he did "complete the catch"

So why are you replying to my post saying fail?

Because they are still reviewing plays to make sure "the catch as completed"

I'm not saying it definitely shouldn't be ruled a catch, but it is curious to me why they didn't review it when all scoring plays are supposed to be looked at.

Calvin Johnson lost another TD on the rule yesterday.

But Cruz made a football move by stretching the ball to the goalline. He only went to the ground because Allen was trying to tackle him.

Calvin both times caught the ball, but fell to the ground to complete the catch and didn't maintain possession all the way through. It's a shitty rule, but that's how they interpret it.

The rule has changed now to where the WR needs to maintain control long enough to warrant having control of the ball. If the player loses control after whatever long enough is, it's a catch.

That's the change. At least that's what the commentators told me yesterday
