as a team perhaps, but you claimed I said it was because Romo got hurt that the record was better, and that isnt what I said
No, that's not what I said captain literal. I said certain people could point to the loss of Romo as the turnaround of this team in 2010 and certain people could point to the change in coaches and all that comes from that. Considering you started the discussion of 2010 when you responded to Mid's post that this is a 5-11 team without Romo, saying that 2010 proved him wrong, it's not a stretch to assume you credit at least part of the turnaround to Romo not playing. Honestly I wasn't responding to you when I said that either. Dooms actually came out and said we were 1-5 with Romo and 5-5 without Romo in 2010. I was just pointing out that since we lost two more after Romo went down to get to 1-7, then TURNED IT AROUND to finish 5-3 after Wade was fired, it's probably more logical to point to the coaching change as the event that led to the turnaround. Perhaps it was your guilty conscience that cause you to jump in and try to defend yourself, I don't know, but I think you're protesting too much.
Not sure I totally agree. The OL is better today. The RB is better today. The WR/TE position as a whole appears better to me. The special teams are considerably better. I think the current team is younger and faster as a whole than that 2010 team.
Defensively that team on paper should have been better, but the defense that year wa still bad.
Romo was younger and not coming off two back surgeries. We had Kitna then and now have Weeden. WR corps was healthy Austin, Roy W. and young Dez who beasted late vs. full beast Dez, young Terrence Williams and Beasley/Harris/Street? TE was old Witten vs older Witten. We had Ware, Ratliff, healthy Spencer, Lee who flashed a lot late, old Bradie James and older Kieth Brooking. Now we have Melton on one good knee, hopefully two, George Selvie, PUP Spencer, Bruce Carter and a bunch of guys... Come on.
