But the "soft" man-to-man coverage didn't help things.

You've got a defense that only had 35 sacks. Gave up 30+ passing scores and yielded a 4.3 ypc average to the opposition.

Yeah, I'd say problems ran deeper than just the type of coverage being used by the corners.
