A FAN WAS REPORTEDLY SHOT IN THE HEAD JUST OUTSIDE OF THE COWBOYS-PATRIOTS GAME
October 11, 2015
Liam Daniel Pierce
Arlington, TX police are reporting that a man in his early 40s was shot in the head after a skirmish in the parking lot of the Cowboys' AT&T stadium, according to Complex Sports and The Dallas Morning News. The man is currently in critical condition.
Police received reports of a fight, only to roll up and hear a single gunshot, they discovered a man with life-threatening injuries on the ground, who was transported to a nearby hospital shortly after. According to police reports, the alleged shooter injured himself while fleeing the scene. The suspect, a male, will be charged with aggravated assault and placed in jail after receiving hospital treatment himself.
Police are still investigating what caused the incident, but according to Fort Worth Star-Telegram beat reporter Clarence Hill, eyewitnesses accounts described a truly distressing scene, in which bystanders were encouraging the suspect to shoot the victim in the head.
Unsurprisingly, police told the Morning News that both parties "might have been tailgating for awhile."
