By the way, Bradshaw was ruled down pretty quickly huh? RW11 didn't get that whistle VS Chicago a few Years ago

Who would've thought a Ted ginn injury would be the difference in a championship game

I said the same thing. same example.

FWIW I think they called the Bradshaw one correctly, his forward progress was stopped he was just being held up to rip the ball out, but I do see it go the other way (i.e. Williams) plenty. Just another break that went NY's way.

Iirc rw11 was being gang tackled towards the sideline and out of bounds.

It's his own fault for being a total mush but damn. They call Bradshaw down an instant before he hits the ground? gaw

Not denying the guy had a career year this year. He threw for damn near 1,000 yards more than he ever has, and his QB rating was 10 points higher than his career rating. But do you call that the rule or the exception?

I don't think this is an exception by any means. I think he can hang with anyone in performance and how he leads his team.

If the roles were reversed, the ny media would be having a fit today, it would be the only thing being talked about.

Btw, had whistles always been blown that soon Barry sanders would not have been Barry sanders.

Sf is rightfully up in arms. My radio station dismissed it.

2 minutes left, down at the 20??? Fuuu

And he wasn't being driven backwards. It was a textbook tackle where the RB is knocked down. Horrible call. If it was us I'd think we dodged a huge bullet.

The rb lost the ball as he went down. It was a fumble

If it was 'us', we wouldn't have dodged a bullet; it would have been ruled a fumble---as it should have been, but make no mistake, it would have been ruled a fumble by Hochuli and crew.

7 full seasons and the guy has never come with 900 yards of what he got this season, and you think this is the norm for him? For comparison's sake his other 6 full seasons have all had passing yardage between 3,238 and 4,021. In other words, his high and low yardage outputs for the previous 6 seasons have ALL been within an 800 yard range.

yea, but it makes sense this season because he lost his running game without bradshaw and bass for about a month. And during that time they played good teams and were forced to throw the ball. Just look at the yards he put up in the saints and packers games....in the past they would have run more, but they couldnt.

Still lucky. Lucky in their Superbowl run....I get tired of talking about the 2, if not 3 passes that should have been picked off. I get tired about about pundits talk about his winning spirit and never mention David Tyree. I agree that Manning avoided getting sacked, but he didn't actually throw it to anyone. He got lucky that a backup made the catch of his career.

You're all haters.

I guess Tom Brady's just lucky that Vinatieri's clutch.

No. They cheated as well, as it's been found out. If Viniteiri doesn't make those kicks and if they don't cheat, the Patriots don't win any of those Super Bowls. It's not like they were dominant in those wins.

I was wrong about the rating...that was postseason. Anyways, IMO the guy is a great QB. He wins 2 road games...one in Lambeau and one in the muck in SF, against a very strong SF defense. I just don't see how you base his success on luck alone, he had a monster year in what was supposed to be a down year for the Giants.

Most road wins in the playoffs in league history, you know luck and what not. :jerkoff

I'd like for them to get to keep the one against the Eagles though :YES ...and looking back I did want them to beat the Rams since St Louis had just won the year before and it was the Pats first. Too bad the Panthers couldn't have pulled the other one out though.
