Interesting topic. If the draft went away, you would almost have to do away with a salary cap also. No way are you fitting multiple first round talents under the cap every year.

I do see how it would favor the Cowboys among others, but that wouldn't be as much fun, imo.

I'd much rather see the cap go away and the draft stay. Get the league back to the way it once was, where good teams come and go and dynastys rule. The parity really blows. The game has been watered down big time, imo.

It would be more interesting and would make more sense to keep the salary cap. And there should be a limit on the amount of 1st round grade players that a team can accumulate in one year.

So teams would still have to scout well and juggle the salary cap at the same time. It would be one hell of a rat race.
