I have totally done the whole "are you arresting me officer, or am I free to go?" bit a few times. I NEVER let the police search my car..EVER. The main reason is last year I got pulled over by a state trooper en route to Abilene. He asked to search my car, I said OK. He finds nothing and lets me on my way. My car was a COMPLETE MESS. I was nothing but cooperative and respectful to the guy. He then turns around and completely disrespects me by trashing my car. He also wanted to peruse the contents of a flash drive he found. I said, 'you'll need a warrant for that." I get that cops deal with the scum of the Earth, but [most] act like they are above everyone.

He said it stood out. He was a young ******. When he asked to search my car, I should have said No, but I know how that goes as far as time's concerned. I was pulled over for speeding, which is not probable cause or even reasonable suspicion. I hate cops.
