Anybody?

Clearly we have to add depth at this position..as of right now if anybody gets hurt, we have nobody that can fill in..

Specifically speaking, we need a nickel CB..neither Carr nor Jenkins can play inside. Thus, if Scandy goes down, we are completely screwed. Whereas, if Carr or Jenkins goes down, we do know Scandy can play outside.

Brandon Boykin at 45

Who are some other CBs who can play inside in this draft?

I think we are looking at big guys who can press at the line. Boykin doesn't fit that mold.

Scandrick is our inside guy.

he might be..hes probably the 3rd or 4th best CB in this draft

whether you like Boykin or not..we need a CB desperately..

It depends on what teams are looking for in their CBs. He could be the 3rd or 4th CB for a Tampa-2 cover team like Chicago or Tampa Bay, or he could be the 9th or 10th corner in Philly.

We need a lot of things desperately.

thats bullshit..hes not even a zone corner

this is a horrible argument..he would be absolutely awful in a tampa 2 scheme where his midget ass has to tackle

lol his little ass would get eaten alive trying to get a jam at the line. Look at his UGA film. He played mostly off coverage.

i agree we need one more good cb. I doubt butler will come off the practice squad and fill the role.

this team has so many holes I cant even justify taking Decastro in the 1st round any more

Center
CB
DE
OLB
Safety
WR
TE

there is no way we can fill of these holes..technically, we dont need to fill all of them this season..OLB and Safety can wait a year..but the others are immediate needs

its a two year rebuild. And that is if we dont miss on the draft.
With the free agent class we just had basically filling in for the past poor drafts we now at least have depth we lacked last year which should help.

A great draft could really get us back to contention but I still think its too much to ask in one offseason. Hopefully by next may we will have everything we need again to be actual contenders and hopefully ware, romo and witten are still the the same players.

I am just hoping we dont see the blown leads and late collapse like last year that was an indicator that we were not talented enough. I think the free agent group will help that a ton. But we are still missing front line type players on the defensive line, interior offensive line and at safety.

we arent giving ourselves very much time to contend...our window is closing fast..we need to find out a way to give us a chance to compete this year..

trade down in this draft..pick up an extra top 100 pick..hopefully hit on all 4 of those top 100 picks and we may have a shot..

trade down and take konz
2nd rd brandon thompson
3rd rd hosley
3rd rd Jarius Wright

at this point, i think we have to trade down in rd 1..for many different reasons

I dont know what the window is to be honest. This is a young team now that will get younger in a month.

If romo is healthy and could stop getting sacked 40 times a year he may have 5 or 6 big years left in him.

Ware and witten are going to most likely lose some of their physical skills in the next few years, but if they are surrounded by good talent they will still help.

This team is being rebuilt. So its hard to even rationalize a window to me. If we had signed 3 players in their 30s and then trade up for two players in the first and have only a few picks left I could see saying the window is short. but it feels like the opposite.

for all the garrett hate and that is including my own bitching at least it does appear he has a plan of some sort and that includes getting new coaches at the two weakest areas on the team and hopefully new talent in the draft to go with the free agents in those areas.

we could wake up here in a year with a very good young football team and a young coach who is finding his way while creating a team from his viewpoint. Thats if we pull off a good draft next month and in a year.

or it could be just the same old thing again and in a few years romo, ware and witten are gone and we end up with a new coach.

ive spoken with bill jones a few times now..hes mentioned to me that it may be time to just start building a new core..im not sure if that is the plan or not..but with this whole youth movement thing going on, it very well could be
