Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones among the most disliked people in sports
By Jon Machota

Jerry Jones is guilty of owning a franchise that has a .500 record over the last 17 years. And during that time, the Dallas Cowboys have remained arguably the most popular organization in professional sports.

Apparently that’s enough to make folks dislike him.

Jones hasn’t been recorded making outrageous racist statements, he hasn’t been accused of using performance-enhancing drugs and he hasn’t bullied a Cowboys player to the point that they quit mid-season.

But he again made SI.com’s list of the 35 most disliked people in sports.

“The outspoken Jones was named Least Favorite Sports Personality in a 2003 SI poll,” the description read next to Jones’ picture. “Over a decade later, Jones hasn’t missed a beat — continuing to promote ‘America’s Team’ to the media and making many splashy personnel decisions without much success to show for it.”

Donald Sterling, Alex Rodriguez, Richie Incognito and Lance Armstrong were some of the others to make the cut.

This needs to be posted at CZ. Most of the homers think Jerry is a popular guy.

well deserved, you'd think all the anti-Cowboy fans would love this guy and up his stock a bit, I guess the Cowboy nation that despise him outnumbers the people that hate the Cowboys

He gets mass booing from every local sports venue or social function he attends in Dallas.

I don't see how CZers can still insist he is "popular" when he clearly is not. And its his own fault.
