And despite what most people who hate Garrett think, he's a far better coach than Wade was too. This coaching staff is also better than the staff that was here under Wade.
The current OC is a shit ton better than the one back then, that's for sure.

Well of course, depending on what happens with injuries and etc. I should moderate that and say yeah, if they didn't have a disastrous injury situation 0-16 would be a surprise. Not a huge one, due to the vagaries of the league itself, but a mild one.

Like I said I expect 8-8, 9-7, something along those lines.

Jesus Christ, you are over the top. If we don't get back to at least 11-5 I will be floored.

And, that's saying something for those that know me.

I hope for the best, but expect the worst. That's life for me as a Cowboys fan, post-Jimmy.

Hey - buying in is buying in. I don't knock ya for it.

I haven't bought in and I described the conditions which would make me consider it, already.
There's a huge difference between "buying in" and saying there's at least one reason to believe we will be better than 8-8. You said there was no reason to think that... just pointing out how wrong you are... again.

I'm little concerned with our DT on the roster. I'll be pissed if our DE's are getting good pressure just to see the QB step up into the pocket.

In other news, Patriots released both CBs Brandon Browner and Kyle Arrington.

Cowboys ought to take a look at one of them.
We have Carr, Scandrick, Claiborne, Jones, White and Patmon. What we need are safety's and dt.

Carr will be a June 1st cut. And Claiborne... aside from sucking, he's currently injured and may start the season on PUP.

And you are correct, we need a safety. My hope is that we move Byron Jones to FS, and have Wilcox at SS.

Tyrone Crawford is a good DT, he should be even better this yr being another year out from the achilles injury.

Ken Bishop and Terrell McClain could be quality rotation guys too. I hink Bishop could be a pretty solid 1 T in this scheme

Our great DC doesn't value the DT position enough to want high draft picks at the position. I don't give a damn how good of a DC he is, I think that the defense would benefit if they got some top talent at the position. One word that comes to mind to prove my case, Hayden. Hayden does not even belong in the NFL, but they undervalue the position do much that he is a starter. IMO, some talent at the position would greatly improve the defense. They refuse to even use a 3rd or 4th on an upgrade. That is just being stupid to overlook the position. The don't really value the 3tech either, or at least not enough to go after better talent .

What you said in bold is not true, he doesn't believe the 1T DT spot is a difference maker in his scheme and therefore doesn't warrant using premium picks to fill. That said, when he was DL coach in Tampa they used 1st rd picks on Warren Sapp (drafted yr before Marinelli got there, but he developed him) and Booger McFarland. They also drafted Marcus Jones in the 1st rd.

Tyrone Crawford was a 3rd rd pick by the way, and he is a good player.

Every player on the team cant be a damn 1st rd pick.
