Chapas was rated higher than Hynoski by most of the scouting gurus. Hynoski was considered a blocker only, whereas Chapas was a solid blocker and receiver at Georgia.

I dont know why so many on here hate the guy. Its not like he's been here 10 years and sucked all along. He was a 7th rd pick that wasnt ready. He might be ready now.

Now's the time. I hope he's been watching and learning from Fiametta.

Jenkins was as close to a shutdown CB there was in 2009, had the down year last yr (everyone other than Ware did on this defense) and was playing at a high level again this year when he got hurt. He's the best CB on this team.

I hope he can come back but I've never been a Jenkins fan. I think there's been more than one time he's quit out there and he looks and acts like a thug. I may catch crap for this but I wish we would steer clear of players like him and Bryant, no matter how good they are. Bennett too. He'll be gone after this year but we wasted a 2nd rounder on him. There's no getting through to anyone who's that big of a clown.

So you would have steered away from Irvin, Haley, Erick Williams, Nate Newton and the lot as well?

I don't recall those guys ever taking plays off, so no. Those are some of my favorite players. I would call Jenkins and Bryant both punks.

You don't think Irvin was a thug or any of the others and they all "looked" like thugs judging your criteria.

What plays have you seen Bryant take off or Bennett for that matter.

That fact that you would not want to take a player because he "looks" like a thug speaks volumes about you.

Anyone remember this from Erik Williams? I only got to see him post car wreck, but I hear he was just as good as Allen, if not better.

You can think what you want and quite frankly I knew I would get a reply like this from someone. They both look like thugs and act like it too. Bryant gets kicked out of a mall for sagging his pants and making a scene and Jenkins taking plays off, as Bryant. Don't like them. If that makes me a bad person then so be it.

And Irvin was not a thug.

.

You evidently have selective memory, Did you not see what Irvin wore when playing with the cowboys.

Did you miss the mink he wore to court or all of the run ins he had with the law.

Go watch the documentary of The U and then tell me why Dez in considered a thug and Irvin is not?

I don't care what Irvin wore. Irvin liked to party but he was a team player first and foremost. I don't remember Irvin ever being told to pull up his pants in public and then causing a big scene. I don't remember Irvin ever jogging routes when the ball wasn't going his way or throwing temper tantrums on the sidelines. I don't like players who take plays off. Both of them scream low character and they don't fit in the same mold as Haley, Erik Williams, and Irvin.

Big E was the most dominant OL in football from 92 until that car wreck in 1994. Nobody ever owned Reggie White the way Big E did, he honestly made White his bitch for several games.

When he returned in 1995, Michael Irvin said he was the best player in the league, period before he got hurt. he was still a very good player, but he lost some of his athletic ability/agility when the knee was torn up.

That's a shame, but he obviously got too full of himself and thought he could drive after consuming a ton of alcohol. I remember seeing him own White on Monday Night Football in '96.

Are you some kind of special idiot?

Irvin had reports of things far worse than sagging, there was a reason Miami was considered Thug U when he was there.

First of all Bryant did not have his pants sagging it was his friend and if you think sagging pants are worse than being arrested for crack and knifing a teammate in the neck over a haircut then you need serious help.

Those 90's teams were full of "thugs" to think otherwise shows you are being willfully ignorant.

What has Bryant done to make you think he is not a team player 1st was it the sagging pants?

There's nothing wrong with knifing a teammate if he cuts in line and there never has been.

Bryant still doesn't know the playbook and I've seen him numerous times jogging out there. There's a reason he slipped to us.

Personally, I don't trust anyone who hangs out with Prime Time.
