Stills is a real talent, though. He was sort of an underachiever in college, but he's one of those guys who if he learns to be a pro could be a top player. So he might be better than Williams anyway. But he was more of a risk character-wise, or maybe I should say more of a boom-or-bust type player.

I was surprised Williams didn't get more passes the last couple games, though. I hope we weren't so focused on not showing our hand that we failed to get some guys enough reps. Kind of felt that way to me.

What are reasonable expectations for a TE drafted in the 2nd round? 400 yards and say 4 or 5 TDs?

Bad thing is, Garrett was supposedly yelling at him to play faster and harder early in camp. When you think of guys who play hard, a Sean Lee or Witten (or a guy with less talent), do you have to beg them or beat them to play harder? No, that's natural.

So we drafted another lazy tight end in the 2nd round. Wonderful.

And it's not like Witten was a world beater in blocking when he came into the league, but the effort and desire was there to improve that facet of his game.

Bennett was a knucklehead for sure, but when it came to being a blocking TE, he had no equal, and showed more effort than what Escobar is displaying.

What people aren't realizing-and I could be wrong-but the cowboys aren't even using him to his strengths... Like at all.

The entire preseason he's been used as an inline TE or as an F back. I'm assuming they're doing this to get him as many practice reps as possible to improve his blocking.

As we all know, his only strength is receiving. We haven't even put him in his correct position to show his talents. We are holding him back-he will make plays once the real games start. Watch.

People talking big shit about Esco. Ok I get it. He's shown zero. What about Hanna? He's done even less. Do you idiots really think this team have up on running the 2 TE offense already? No fucking way.

Just to be clear. I'm not arguing esco vs Hanna. I'm arguing we aren't showing our 12 personnel in preseason

Where else do you think he'll play? In line or move TE is all there is.

As far as doing better than people expect... Well, probably. At this point the only way to go is up.

The two TE thing is just a package. I bet we don't see all that much of it because the most talented grouping is the three wide set

How else do you explain this team barely using the 12 formation in the preseason? There is none. We aren't showing it. Jerry even said we are holding back. So did romo last night on the sideline interview.
