My simple thoughts: That was about an 8-8 team beating about a 6-10 team. Ugliest game we've played in a long time.

Nice job by the D of course, but Josh Freeman put in a Chad Hutchinson-like performance. Not only was he horrible, at some point he lost his nerve and became afraid to pull the trigger. You could tell even his own coach didn't trust him at the end.

We are last in the league in scoring. We are worst in the league in penalties. Our franchise QB is lucky to be in one piece. This team offense is way underperforming its talent, there are no two ways about it. I've never believed the Garrett hype but I never expected things to get this bad.

Yeah, keep grasping for straws

Hoping for a miracle and a prayer isn't the best strategy

Well-reasoned response. /s

DeCastro wasn't a miracle or a prayer. He was one of the best guards to come out of college in a decade--at a position where the Cowboys had (and obviously still have) great need. He had demonstrated that he could play center as well. No way is it "clear" that he'd have been a reach at 14.

Demonstrated he could play center how?!?

You think we were the only team in the top 20 with a shitty oline? Think again

Truly one of the most pathetic OL performances in franchise history yesterday. It was butt fucking ugly. As I said yesterday, those who clamored all offseason about Jones and Garrett's refusal to seriously upgrade the OL talent, and instead try to plug in stop-gap guys who werent going to be re-signed by their own teams anyway were right. I was wrong. I had really believed that Callahan could get these guys to at least form an average to above average unit, but instead the OL has gotten worse every week so far.

One down

Now where is SuperCunt???

Watch your language son.

I actually think our guards (FAs) have been better than our tackles.

He worked out at center before the draft, which isn't exactly demonstrating. Mea culpa.

I'm not arguing that no teams needing guards passed on DeCastro. I'm disagreeing that a tremendous guard prospect was a "clear reach" in the middle of the first round.

Dbair - funny how you love to rip the officiating

but the reality is, without their blown fumble returned for a touchdown call...we probably lose that game

He must've missed Ogletree's blatant holding during Murray's TD run as well.

That's just it. While we should never apologize for dominating a bad opponent, the fact is that TB had a JV type offense. It's like a grown man boasting about beating up an adolescent. Even when he had time to throw, Freeman couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. 99% of teams would have pulled him yesterday, but it didn't happen. We very easily could have lost had we played a team with any semblance of a credible passing game.

Freeman had nowhere to go with the ball. Not like soul-glo was just holding onto it for holding onto it's sake (until late in the game when we had him shell-shocked) our secondary was ballin. Credit where credit is due, Philistines.

That JV offense hung 34 on the Giants vaunted DL... The difference is our secondary is light years better than the Giants.

Yeah I mean those plays where he just threw it up to Jackson 8 times were all completions against the Giants. Against us, Jenkins was swatting it out of his hands or Carr was flying over to hit him in the face. We're contesting EVERYTHING on the back end, it's a beautiful thing.

Omg.

Now the defense was only good because the bucs offense is bad?

That is what norm said yesterday also.

People have gone crazy with their dislike of Garrett.

Well yeah, basically. We're good enough to take advantage of inferior opponents. Outside of V. Jackson, who can be double covered, who scares you over there? I'm glad they won, but since the road to the playoffs goes thru tougher teams than Tampa, yesterday really didn't tell us anything about the team.

Thinking back we were putting hits on Clark and Williams right as they were catching the ball too, to force incompletions.

I mean until that final BS drive Freeman had passed for 30 yards? This is a talented offense, I mean they added about 100 mil in contracts with Nicks and Jackson, grabbed Clark and already had Williams. Then Added Martin in the draft who everyone can't stop raving about. And we absolutely shut all of that down. They couldn't run no matter where they tried.

Through three weeks it looks like we have a top 5 D.

Defense was dominant in all areas regardless of who they were playing

No doubt playing with 4 defensive lineman and two linebackers who have never played in an nfl game before along with Danny mcray at safety.

I watched the first two bucs games and there offensive line pushed Carolina and ny all around the field.

It's ridiculous to say there offense was just bad.

There was no where to throw the ball and we did a great job against the run.

And we are going to have to win the exact same game next Monday. A defensive minded offensive struggle.

We are going to need special teams to make a play late.

The offensive line seems like a lost cause. Free and smith look like different guys...
