Another week, another national TV debacle for the team that can claim to be America's Toilet Splashers.

It's ugly. It's embarrassingly bad. The franchise has become a joke to everyone in the league. Numerous shots of the sidelines the past few games show other teams' players laughing at us. Jerry and Spawn have completely ruined what was once the flagship franchise of the NFL.

Last night Jerry's masterpiece work of art literally started falling apart. You had our all world kicker slipping on the new turf they decided to install a couple days ago. The sun has been a joke for years. Owner Jerry is every bit as incompetent as GM Jerry. Maybe more so, because the owner won't replace the complete and utter failure at GM.

1) This is inarguably the worst offseason and regular season in franchise history. Nothing even remotely compares to the utter failure in every possible way from a personnel standpoint. It started the day after that debacle v Green Bay when the imbecile decided to run it back with the same HC and staff that had failed for 3 straight years. They hired a dinosaur DC that has been one of the worst in the league this year. They made no adjustments to the roster despite OBVIOUS flaws that needs to be addressed. Then he waited til a few hours before the season kickoff to put the icing on the cake of the worst GM job ever, signing Prescott to that ridiculous contract for no good reason that will likely cripple the team on the cap for several seasons, along with ensuring the overpaid low talent flub has to start regardless of what else they have available.

2) Cooper Rush is just not very good. He doesn't have the arm strength to threaten the entire field and even his decision making is not all that great. He literally could have had 6 or 8 interceptions last night I think. It didnt help that the team can't open any consistent holes in the run game, but the guy cannot throw the ball downfield or to the outsides with anything that even is remotely "average" velocity. It's stupid that at 3-7 and seeing injuries mount almost hourly, Jones and Mcarthy still want to start Rush instead of Lance. Lance cannot POSSIBLY be that much worse, and at least he is younger, has legs that can definitely make legit plays and has really solid arm strength. Numerous plays where Prescott or Rush just stand there and get plastered Lance would have been able to escape the pocket and extend the play or take off and make some legit yardage. You also have the real threat of read-option type plays with him. Like I said in the game thread, the decision is so painfully stupid that to me it must be solely because Jerry doesnt want there to be any chance Lance shows anything at all, because it makes his decision to invest 240 mils in 4 all the more worse.

3) Really sad to see Zack Martin on a week to week basis now, and last night may have been the last rodeo for him. If so, he's been one of the alltime greats of the franchise and like so many other guys, his career has been almost wasted because of the fucktard GM. It appears he has a pretty significant injury and there's a real chance we may have seen his last reps in a Dallas uniform. Real warrior and did everything the right way, sure fire first ballot HoFer.

4) Micah Parsons had a really good game in his return v Philly, and last night he had some obvious pressures, I don't know how many. But he wants to be paid as the highest defensive player in the league. Last night he made 1 tackle. ONE. The team as a whole made a paltry two tackles for loss nd one of them was Odiggy's sack. His sack was the only official knockdown we had on the QB the ENTIRE game.

5) This team cannot (or will not) tackle to save their ass. They seem to miss tackles on every series, sometimes multiple tackles on the same play.

6) They gave up a dink pass 77 yd TD on the first play of the game. They got lucky that refs called Tunsil for something he does all the time. 6 plays later they scored another TD on a long run where as noted above, nobody could tackle. Later in the game, we gave up a strip sack that we recovered, only to fumble the recovery back to Houston for a TD. You just can't make this shit up.

7) Congrats Jerry, your shitpile franchise set ANOTHER NFL record for futility, becoming the first team in the history of the league to be losing at home by 20+ for a 6th consecutive game. You also own the only team in sports that hasn't won a home game in this calendar year. Congrats, FUCKTARD

8) I think the apocalypse is truly close, Malik Hooker actually made TWO plays in a game. Granted, one ball was thrown right to him but hey, at least the slob caught it.

9) Brandon Aubrey is human after all, he slipped (way to go Jerry) and doinked one off the upright from 40 or so yards. Then bombed one from 64 yards that was good, only to lose credit for it because the Cowboys accepted the 15yd penalty to keep the ball. He's a freaking machine and the only guy that nobody can say didnt pull his weight this year. Best PK in the league, by far.

10) 7 games left: at Wash, NYG, Cinci, at Carolina, Tampa, at Philly and v Washington. NYG and Carolina might (key word MIGHT) be winnable games, but the other 5 look like certain losses unless Washington doesnt need the week 18 game and mails it in with backups. We definitely could end up with a top-5 pick. Top-7 seems like a lock. Tampa is a SNF currently, there will be no Dallas fans in the building and the game is going to be an absolute ass whipping. Hopefully they flex it to a 1pm start. Cinci is a MNF contest, it's also going to be really ugly as the Bungles might go for 500+ yards and 40+ pts on us that night.

Season can't end soon enough. What a waste and after three straight yrs of 12 win teams, this looks like an almost hopeless situation for the near future too.

If this isn't the most complete and total collapse of a team in history I don't know what is. Never was all that great anyway what with three 12 win seasons in a row, 16 game home winning streak but immediate exit from the playoffs each time, and no.... This season were not just knocking and leaking oil, we're throwing rods and main bearings are grinding into dust.

It's all got to go. Jerry - tank this shit. Fire yourself as GM and hire Colin Cowherd as GM .. Get Deion as HC and Shaduer as QB. Restructure Dak then let him be backup next year then restructure again then cut (Russell Wilson him).

This ain't 1989 but this team is. It needs total gutting not surgery.

Dbair you may as well just make a draft of the above comments and save yourself the keystrokes. Remember past years slogans? This year's is probably direct deposits are on the way, so whatever. Horrendous decisions in order 1) The Dak disastrous contract. 2) Bringing back McCarthy and the rest of the dead men walking cause Jerry is cheap. 3) Bringing back the remains of Zeke 4) Bringing back back Zimmer on a lame duck contract. I think even the mentally challenged knew every one of those was a horrendous decision. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch than the Jones family. Football guys, all of em.

The '89 team had far less talent
Eight or nine of those guys were still on the roster when we hoisted the Lombardi. Today's team might have three guys who could be starters on the Chief's roster.

Lamb, Tyler Smith and probably Dowdle would start for them on offense. Parsons and Overshown definitely. Diggs and Bland (if he were healthy) on defense. Our kicker and returner. Plenty of guys could be key rotational guys.

1989 was a really weak roster. Some of the "8 or 9" you referenced were 1989 draft picks (Aikman, Moose, Stepnoski & Tolbert). A couple were complete afterthought guys in 1989 but turned into really good players later (Nate Newton, Mark Tuinei). Couple more were 1988 draft picks (Irvin and Norton). The rest of that roster was pretty bad and most of those guys were gone within another season or two.

That said, this current team is WORSE on the field. The talent level is significantly better but the coaching, preparation & motivation is not there at all.

It takes two to tango. But in THEORY I do think that if the Cowboys manage to get Shedeur and Prime, then it would send a very strong and obvious message that Dak's time in Dallas is done.

I would hope/think that such a move would incentivize Dak to restructure his deal for a new team.

But which team is desperate enough? I don't think Jerry would want Prime as HC so desperately to do that. I think Jerry will hire a coach who says he can work with Dak. As much as I would rather go a different direction, Kellen Moore makes sense.

Our current draft position likely won't allow us to draft Shedeur anyway.
