Couple of notes:
- Eagles are going to be a bad team, as their record indicates. Yet they start 2-0, including a big win at Washington. We've seen a trend of young college coaches coming into the league and getting off to fast starts in recent years. I think that continues briefly until film is generated on the Eagles offense/Vick gets injured/people realize Chip Kelly isn't that good of a coach.
- I have Dallas winning the week 1 game, but I could see it going the other way, where Dallas loses week 1 and wins in New York. They play us better in Dallas, and we play them better in New York. But I kind of feel like this team and offense will come out strong to start the year. Beating the Giants week 1 back to back years would be nice.
- I'm not buying the Redskins as a legit contender this year. People forget they were 3-6 at one point last year before an incredible rally. And they've had no cap room and limited draft picks to address flaws on their team. Now, NFL teams have a years worth of film on the Read Option, and RG3 is coming off a catastrophic knee injury. Just when exactly will he be healthy? When will he have confidence in his legs again? And can he go the entire year without re-injuring a knee thats been surgically reconstructed twice? Because for all the "All In for Week One" hype, I don't see him playing in that game. Or the next one.
- New York is the team I have the least comfortable read on going into this year. I do think David Wilson will be a stud running back. I do think JPP will return to form. But Justin Tuck seems borderline washed up, and DL has overall gone from a strength in recent years to a question mark. Also not a believer in their secondary.
- The homer in me is showing as I have us winning the division. I think we will. I think Romo has his best year to date. I like our RB depth. I love our skill positions depth. Sure, I'd like more along the lines, and ultimately thats where games are won. But I also think Ware and Spencer will be effective, Ratliff will do well, and I think Frederick proves a lot of draft analysts who panned the selection wrong. I'm actually pretty excited about this season. Also, Dez Bryant is going to do humiliate a lot of corners.
