I set myself up for that McSurdy garbage.

We tend to like really slow defenders so he's got a chance.

Looking at that board... if Deandre Hopkins falls to us at 32, is he the pick?
No. We had abandoned our BPA/top player on the board strategy by then.

I think Jerry's plan was hope for Cooper/Warmack and then when that didn't pan out, he wanted to justify taking Frederick so he jumped way down.

We had a higher grade (4th) on Magee, an OLB, than we did on Holloman, an OLB, yet we took Hollomon over him ?

Pretty sure they said the reasons were Magee's injury concern as well as the baseball contract led to them (and several other teams pushing out of the draft and into the rookie free agent pool

Where did they get this?

They blurred out all the shots of the board on the local shows.

Who is claiming this?

The picture on their site looks like Jerry was photoshopped in or something.

I wonder the same things

Based on our board, we had the best draft ever.

Something tells me our draft board is a piece of shit

It seems the last few years though the scouts have been getting it right more than wrong. And I'm not speaking necessarily on guys we draft, but seeing how players we had rated high turned out elsewhere.

I think it was obvious they went into the draft thinking they had to upgrade the interior of the OL. Once 6 of the first 11 picks and 8 of the first 20-21 were OL, Frederick was basically the last guy they had rated as a step in from day one starter who could "upgrade" something that was a massive hole. You said they avoided glaring holes, drafting Frederick is proof they did not.

Really slow, white defenders coming off an Achilles injury.

Everybody is all "Barry Church" right now, but you just wait.

^ his 2010 tape is even better.

I still think his signing was the best move we made all draft weekend long.

I believe we did the right thing. You know I'm not a homer.

I just say that because C issues have plagued since who knows when. Actually, I can point to Gurode's last few years here since that has been the case. And Frederick is one of the best centers to be available in the draft in awhile.

I think it's funny how they had Terrance Williams as a first round prospect but waited until #74 to draft him.

Looked at it wrong. Still the point stands.

We had him graded as a 2nd round pick yet took him with our second 3rd.
