because covid, the rules were changed. this year has extended rosters and practice squads. PS rosters increased to 16. of those 16, theyre allowing up to 6 players on the PS to have over 2 accrued seasons in the nfl. normally, you can only have 2 players with more than 2 accrued seasons.


IR has also changed to allow a player to return after 3 weeks, instead of 6-8 weeks. teams can also return an unlimited number of players from IR, instead of only 2 in normal years.

this opens up a shit load of flexibility for teams that get hit with covid, late opt-outs, and injuries.

iirc there was a weird reason DAL put brandon carr on the PS and i think it had to do with the roster limit and not exposing certain guys to waivers or something no fucking clue yim maybe a guy named snacks harrison is too fat and needs some time for conditioning

Either it's because when it got leaked earlier today that they were trying to trade him and it shot their chances all to hell, or it's Gase desperately trying to keep the team from total revolt. Or both.

They said they have been trying for a couple of weeks to trade him for a late round pick and haven’t had any takers. For a RB he’s on the older end. Then when you factor in the baggage, he’s just not worth it. It’s a lot less of a headache to just draft a guy.
