Hogwash! Tore my meniscus last year. Had it "trimmed". Was back in action 7 days later. Of course I hobbled around But, within 2 weeks, I was back to normal. Without physical therapy too. All depends on the surgeon & patient. Ian Rapopprt obviously never had a torn meniscus.
