Well, yeah . . . I was speaking in general terms.

A person can think of any number of reasons to hate someone . . .

But I think most people begrudge RW because of what we gave up to acquire him, and his salary.

Would you disagree?

Midswat.... this says it all for me.

Irvin on Roy Wlliams: He hasn't been listening.

Barry Horn / Reporter

It's no secret that Michael Irvin doesn't think much of Roy Williams as a lead receiver. Irvin's been using his ESPN Radio show and NFL Network gig as a bully pulpit. Who knows, if he survives Dancing With The Stars long enough, Irvin might even take a shot as Williams in prime time.

On his radio show this morning, Irvin decreed that no one wants the Cowboys to win more than he does. Toward that end, Irvin, who we all know was a Hall of Fame receiver, said he took Miiles Austin and Roy Williams aside in training camp and offered tips on how they might better help the Cowboys win.

In separate advice sessions with each, Irvin said he preached to the importance of anticipating the snap count to explode off the line of scrimmage and catching the ball against the body when going over the middle.

Irvin said the young Austin was receptive but the veteran Williams didn't really want to hear from him.

Irvin said he has seen evidence that in looking at side-by-side video of the two receivers, Austin was four yards ahead of Williams after 12 yards. It's not that Austin is that much faster, he just gets off the line quicker.

What's that tell you about him?

He doesn't want to take advice from a Hall of Famer, he can only blame himself.

He's stuck on himself and thinks he can do it with no ones help, apparently.

I don't want to wish injury on anyone but if he went down with an ACL tear it would help the team.

In what way?

Depth wise we lose another WR.

Miles is our 1. Dez would then be our 2. That would leave our 3 for Ogletree or Hurd.

I could see that maybe next year, I just want to see if Roy can do it this season, I know he says this every season, but I'll give him until this season.

If he has another average year, then yes let Ogletree or Hurd replace him, I would prefer Ogletree though.

There's two players I have been a little hard on, Bennett and Williams. It's do or die this year for both of them.

Michael is a media guy. They tend to exaggerate. He also is in love with Dez.

Don't get me wrong . . . I'm disappointed in Roy, and I think Dez is going to be the #2 guy sooner than later. But I also think Roy is hated on because of his salary. He's not near as bad as some, Michael and yourself included, make him out to be.

number 2 for dez how about number 1, Dez is and will be the most complete WR on this team by the half way mark of the season and i think personally roy is gonna have a solid year this year like 60 cathes 800 yards 10 touchdowns i wanna c him and tony get more chemistry in the jump balls in the endzone that could help us alot this year if they get on the same page

It get's a bum off the field and gives more time to Ogletree and Dez.

We have plenty of depth.

Well just saying, if we lost Williams on top of Crayton we lost some depth.

I wouldn't mind getting Ogletree and Hurd more balls though.7

Definitely is do or die for Bennett this year, but i think Roy is gonna be good if not plus the cap hit is gonna be pretty high if we dump him early could dallas afford having another big cap hit with dealing with WR's TO'S was pretty costly too, but jerry isnt affraid to do it though.

Don't be so sure to pre judge Jerry about not dumping Roy if he struggles this year.

I wouldn't put it past him, because he has his other WR he really likes in Ogletree.

Think about it, Austin,Bryant and Ogletree, not a bad trio. Especially, if Ogletree breaks out this year which he is expected too.

Call them the Young Bloods.

Type A:ustin
Type B:ryant
Type O:gletree.

Leaving secondaries in a bloody mess.
