Patrick Crayton's departure has opened the door for Kevin Ogletree to play a bigger role on this team.

"Obviously, Patrick was a friend of mine,'' Ogletree said. "Seeing him go wasn't what I wanted. It impacts me, it just gives me a chance to be out there more and get a good look by the coaches. Hopefully I can stay in there.''

Ogletree said the move sends the message that the team expects him to contribute at wide receiver. He has also focused at getting better on special teams.

"I'm not trying to live up to anyone's experience, really,'' Ogletree said. "But I know that the challenge is in front of me. I know an opportunity is in front of me as well and I'm going to make the most of it.''

38 receptions, 600 yards, and 7 td's as a #2 receiver is not doing anything?

The 7 tds is nice, I'd like see that reception total go up another 15-20. Also, a restructuring of his contract to justify his spot on the depth chart.

Theres room for improvement, most definitely.

But to suggest he doesn't do anything is ridiculous.

Did you see what Irvin said about him recently? He said it's like playing 10 against 11.

If the Skins and their half ass DC tries to go blitz crazy like Philly did we have to eat them up with some bubble screens.

O-Tree knows how to execute that play pretty good.

Michael is a media guy. They tend to exaggerate. He also is in love with Dez.

Don't get me wrong . . . I'm disappointed in Roy, and I think Dez is going to be the #2 guy sooner than later. But I also think Roy is hated on because of his salary. He's not near as bad as some, Michael and yourself included, make him out to be.

People hate Roy for several other reasons than his salary.

Well you said it was only hated because of his salary.

Well, yeah . . . I was speaking in general terms.

A person can think of any number of reasons to hate someone . . .

But I think most people begrudge RW because of what we gave up to acquire him, and his salary.

Would you disagree?

I would disagree. I think it's his drops and attitude that's killed him.

Did the fans treat Joey Galloway like this? Nope.

Fair enough. And good point on Galloway.

I just don't hate Roy, or think he's as useless as others make him out to be.

An invisible man doesn't get 600 yards or 7 touchdowns.

I also disagree. Players get overpaid all the time and yes we gave up too many draft picks for Roy. But if Roy was producing, then we wouldn't really mind. But it's his attitude. This sense of entitlement. The lack of effort he shows in running routes to catching passes.

But are we wrong to expect more that that? Crayton had that as the #3 WR.
