Man, Giants are going to rape Tony.
The Offensive Line is a Problem
Resolution 1: Add one player in off-season.
Resolution 2: Beg people to come out of retirement.
Resolution 3: Panic!
Hell of a front office we got here.
Man, Giants are going to rape Tony.
Neither their starting Center nor starting RG will be available.
It’s like this beautiful mansion built on top of a sink hole.
Good thing we are loaded at DT to take advantage!
Oh wait.
Says a lot about Arkin and Costa.
Wait, Free sucks at RT so why put him at RG? He's another wasted turd in the bowl.
I know its only preseason, but Free has played pretty good so far in these 3 games. Not sure what you have been watching, maybe reruns of the last two yrs or something
No, I've been watching his entire career. I don't take much from preseason either, David. If you think Doug Free is going to be some kind of All-Pro tackle/guard you're delirious.
.
Doug Free isn't a plan. It's a fuckin last resort.
Fuck it anyway though, ya know, tony can run around back there pretty good and he likes having weapons rather than protection.
wink/creepy fuck grin/ hand clapping/pointing at someone over there
I don't think Free getting reps at guard is a big deal.
In part, Garrett is seeing what his options are ... so he can decide which OL dress for games. If there is an injury during the game, Garrett needs to know how he can cover it. Can Free move inside in case one or more Guards go down (or if the Center is hurt and Bernadeau has to take over there)? Given how injury prone most of the Guards have been, I've got no problem with Garrett being proactive here.
Also, the Cowboys have a game to play and don't have many healthy Guards. So Garrett is improvising.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not happy with the Cowboys situation at Guard, but given that this is the situation that the team may be stuck with for the rest of the season, Garrett would be a fool if he didn't try to prepare for possible problems.
