Our secondary woes are cured!

IRVING, Texas -- With Morris Claiborne likely out of Thursday’s game against the Oakland Raiders after he aggravated a hamstring strain Sunday, the Dallas Cowboys re-signed cornerback Sterling Moore on Monday.

Moore Moore was among the Cowboys’ final cuts on Aug. 31 when they made the somewhat surprising decision to go with only four cornerbacks on the 53-man roster. Moore is not a stranger to having to play on a quick turnaround for the Cowboys. Last year he officially had one day of practice before playing against the Philadelphia Eagles on Dec. 2 after he was signed off the New England Patriots' practice squad.

He finished with six tackles and two pass breakups in six games with the Cowboys.

To make room for Moore, tight end Andre Smith was released. He could return to the practice squad if he clears waivers.

The Cowboys had hoped cornerback Micah Pellerin would clear waivers last week, but he was claimed by the Tennessee Titans. If Pellerin had returned to the practice squad, the Cowboys would have called him up to the active roster for the second time this season.

Without Claiborne, the Cowboys could use rookie B.W. Webb outside and keep Orlando Scandrick in the slot when they play their nickel defense.

I think I read that Moore is Beasley's roommate. I'm sure it must have sucked to watch Beasley go to "work" every day while Moore played Madden.

I liked Moore, I think he should have made the team over some of the not-so-specialists we kept for special teams.

I hate Mo Claiborne

I hate that we gave up so much to get him.

I hate that our scouting staff/front office/none of it matters because Jerry overrules everyone missed so badly. Next Deion? Dionne Warwick maybe. Better than Patrick Peterson? Seriously? Not even close.

Yeah, I like how you put it.

I don't dislike the guy. it's not like he is out there half-assing like Jenkins. The guy gives the effort, he just isn't smart and has bird bones. If we had drafted him 17th, I'd be more inclined to give him some benefit of the doubt.

I hate Jerry.

Yeah, scoring a 2 on the Wonderlic is pretty alarming. That's borderline I can't tie my own shoes I'm so stupid.

Something is up there. He was good enough on the field to be on somebody's roster, and to my knowledge he hasnt been on anybody's roster all year.

I dunno, he shows some definitely gaping hole tendencies. Always hurt and from some of the stuff Steve Jones has said both years, some of those "injuries" are very questionable.
