When this year comes to a close, who will we look back on as having the biggest impact as a rookie for this team?

I'm having a hard time answering the poll.

In the same draft class, we hauled in the greatest kicker in NFL history, and a Hall of Fame OT and RB.

And Bruce Carter almost had an interception against the Seahawks.

It all starts up front. I voted T. Smith. If we still had Colombo there, Murray wouldn't look nearly as good as he does. Smith is helping to let this line come together. It was a nightmare last year. No line, no offense. Plus, he's been there from the start. Murray is tearing it up, but has only come on recently. Bailey is also performing way beyond anybody would have dreamed, but again. If we have no line, we aren't in position to win games.

Frick it. I went with Bailey.

He's scored walk off winning points vs San Francisco and Washington. He nailed 6 field goals the first game against Washington, and we needed every one of them for the win.

I realize I likely jinxed him, and he'll end the Cowboys season by missing an easy field goal in the NFC title game because of my actions... but I have to give a kicker his due.

I love kickers.

Without a running game it doesn't matter how good your kicker or RT is.

I'm going with Murray.

Meh, Tyron hasn't been perfect. Bailey nearly so.

With no line, you have no running game.

Our team over the last couple years should be proof positive of that.

And with no pass-rush you have Terence Newman and Orlando Scandrick.

No P, you just have BJ.

No, he hasn't been. You're right.

But I'll ask you this. Let's say we still had Colombo starting at RT, and Bailey WAS perfect? The miss he had is now made. What would our record be right now?

NoDak... don't try to actually discuss football with Sacamano. He's good for the occassional witty one liner only.

Since we aren't talking directly to people who are in the present thread, how on Earth did NoDak and Hostile not get along? Both share the same self-important, blow-hard attitude. That discussing anything with them is so worthwhile.

And to answer NoDak's question, it is stupid. There are so many variables that play into wins and losses that to suggest that Tyron Smith or Dan Bailey have been some sort of nucleus is retarded.

The facts are, at this moment, Dan Bailey has played a bigger role in the outcome of our games, and has executed his role to near perfection as opposed to Tyron Smith.

You should have taken the less painful route, NoDak.

Tyron doesn't make up the whole line though.

If we don't have a running game Tony goes back to throwing too much and forcing the ball and we're screwed.

It's a very tough one between Bailey and Murray.

Damn this was tough. All three deserve it. I gave it to Tyron because he is on the field a lot more and was the starter from day one. His job, in my opinion, is the hardest for an NFL rookie to adjust to. The learning curve is so steep and level of competition is so much higher.

I can respect this non-babbled opinion. Although I would say at least QB is the hardest position for a rookie to adjust to.

Oh no. I've been compared to Hostile.

I don't know how I'll ever recover from this epic smash.
