Cowboys on the verge of firing Wade Phillips

If we lost on Sunday . . . I would welcome the termination of Wade Phillips, the advancement of Jason Garrett to interim HC, promotion to Ray Sherman to OC, and either Reggie Herring or Paul Pasq promoted to DC.

That would give us a chance to see if JG was up to the task before we rolled into the off season.

I think this is the most likely scenario,but like SBK,I believe it's a little early.

Getting rid of Wade,then promoting the Ginger kid would do a couple of things;see if Garrett is ready to be a Head Coach,fulfill

Jerry's obligation to Garrett in case he's not.If he wants to run Garrett @ season's end,he can say,"You were the next HC"

Another promise taken care of.
